Lots of new features!

http://www.objectdock.com

Stardock has released ObjectDock 1.5.  ObjectDock is a program that lets users add docks on their computer. These docks can host programs, running tasks, docklets, and more.  They're a great way to organize your desktop and they're incredibly cool to use.

ObjectDock 1.5 has a ton..TON of new features in it. These features include Windows Vista compatibility, a new image searching feature, .DockZip support, a new algorithm for zoom docks, drag and drop support for items on docks, tabbed docks rotate automatically when docking them with a screen edge if necessary, a host of mouse-over activation features, and more.

ObjectDock is freeware.  Stardock also makes a Plus version called ObjectDock Plus which adds tabbed docks, multiple concurrent dock support, system tray support, task grouping support and much more.

Nice one!

Though I've noticed something wrong on OD+, if you go to the themes panel in the preferences, and click on "go to my image library", it brings up the adjust tab font dialog instead I'm only running 1 tabbed dock, has anyone else come across this?

I'm having a problem too.
I have my dock set to zoom and after I click on an icon it starts the program but the dock stays zoomed.

Fix confirmed! That was quick!

The image library is looking quite slick and vista-like with the search box up in that corner

I have a stand alone of OD...can I install this new version over the old one without uninstalling it?

WG, I tried that years ago, 2or 3 maybe, going from OD free to OD+. What happened was that periodically both versions will run at boot, causing error messages and conflicts. If 'twas me, I'd copy my theme, background, png, ico, image files to a new and separate folder far far away...
...oh, sorry, I'm back now.
Uninstall OD and reboot and install the new one and move the saved files back in. My plan, anyways, but I haven't done it yet. Just got here.
Maybe this version will just install over the existing and play nice...dunno.
Auto-tabs for side docks? Cool!

I knew having the free version would cause problems...I was wondering if it would do the same installing a new Plus version over an old Plus...I'm still using the 1.3 version

Hey WG, no problems here after installing 1.5 over 1.3.

.... as opposed to? I didn't know there was any other type of OD.

Are the Properties dialogs 'sluggish' for anyone else?

No not here Super K, actually all prop and settings dialogs seem faster than 1.3 for me.

All's well here!
Found the update in SDC and went for it. Rebooted and it all went like clockwork.
Also 1.5 over 1.3. And also, everything seems faster and better.
New systray right-click menu has new "Package Images for Sharing" option...
Great job!!

I see what you mean now... I've always installed the new version without uninstalling the old, and haven't had any problems yet.

Seems I have a software conflict with another program and this new version, narrowed it down to 3 so far.

Still VERY difficult to add a Web Page Link

I dragged the icon from the address bar to OD. What's hard about that?

Koasati...My Properties Dialog have been sluggish even with 1.3.

I also see they did away with the zoom in & out effect for the side dock icons.
And now that I have this new version installed I see I will have to rethink and maybe even update some of my docks.

I think I've pinned my problem down to a conflict with UltraMon. WIth UM closed dialogs are responsive.

I don't normally use the Effects, so I'm not sure I know what you're referring to.
Looking at the list, the only one I notice missing is 'Bounce'.

There was one effect in there where when you moused over the icons in the side docks they would magnify in and out slightly...pretty much the same as with the tabbed docks.
