Lots of new features!

http://www.objectdock.com

Stardock has released ObjectDock 1.5.  ObjectDock is a program that lets users add docks on their computer. These docks can host programs, running tasks, docklets, and more.  They're a great way to organize your desktop and they're incredibly cool to use.

ObjectDock 1.5 has a ton..TON of new features in it. These features include Windows Vista compatibility, a new image searching feature, .DockZip support, a new algorithm for zoom docks, drag and drop support for items on docks, tabbed docks rotate automatically when docking them with a screen edge if necessary, a host of mouse-over activation features, and more.

ObjectDock is freeware.  Stardock also makes a Plus version called ObjectDock Plus which adds tabbed docks, multiple concurrent dock support, system tray support, task grouping support and much more.

Koasati...Apparently the zoom effect is still there under "advanced settings". I hadn't clicked on an icon in the side dock so I didn't notice it.

Dunno . . just seemed intuitive to me so I did it and it worked. Jeff seems to try to make things work naturally. I think he does ok.

Seems MUCH faster for me...I may even use the zoom effects now! In just playing around with the effects, it seems that the problem w/dual monitors has been "worked around", if not solved. The docks would always spill over to my 2nd monitor on mouseovers, but with width adjustment now available, I have more control - which is good!

I thought I was pretty slick a couple years ago after figuring out to simply drop the address bar icon onto the dock - I'm not the only one it seems!

I am having the same issue as others with the zooming freezing in place and you have to jiggle the mouse over it to get it to return.... i did a clean install of the program with no luck, all my drivers and such are up to date....any suggestions or a fix?

Looking at the list, the only one I notice missing is 'Bounce'.

Check the "Advanced Options" under "General"

Zoom freezing here too... I'm about ready to roll back to 1.3... never had this kind of problem before... when it freezes, it's on top of the launched app [sigh]

Would be nice if we could get rid of the bouncing arrow in the next build...cute at first...annoying there after.

Hey WG, Advanced Options, More Advanced Options, uncheck Show bouncing dock-identifier arrow when in config dialogs.
It has always been there

Well my comment has nothing to do with any tech problem with OD 1.5, it has to do with the fact that I just purchased Object Desktop and Object Dock about 2 mos. ago and now it would seem that in order to upgrade to OD 1.5 I'll have to shell out another $19.95. Something seems very wrong with that. I think that registered users of 1.3 should be entitled to a FREE upgrade, I mean it only seems fair , don't you agree or am I nuts . I would really like to upgrade to 1.5, it looks , but being the pennypinching old fart that I am I don't wanna turn loose of another 20 bucks so soon . Is it just me or does anyone else see something wrong here??? Feedback would be appreciated. Ok, I'm done bitchin'now.

You do not have to pay for an upgrade to 1.5 if you are upgrading from 1.3.  You should be able to update ObjectDock using Stardock Central.
