I'd also cut my nose off to spite my own face ^_^ Yep, that would pretty much be it. I prefer to pick my battles. A redneck Georgia judge, in a small community, who doesn't like truckers. Hmmmmmm. Nope, don't think this one would be worth the fight.

many of whom are just as screwed up as you are LMAO a comforting thought lol As I said LW, I do indeed understand how you or anyone else could draw the conclusion you did. I do not dispute anything I wrote, only the motivations behind it. Let's leave it at that, ok? A debate on something as

little whip. I agree with what you're saying. I understand where you're coming from. I think you may, however, have missed the point as I stated it earlier. The article was not intended to elicite money, a place to stay, or other "help" as described. Actually it wasn't even intended to elicite "emotional support". In fact, I was quite surprised at the responses to the article. I wrote the article with the intention of getting these t

I have 140 tons of cow manure I need delivered to Congress. Oh never mind, they already have enough.

you learned to multiply without flashcards? yes, instead of memorizing answers to multiplication, i actually learned HOW to multiply. The difference may seem subtle to some, but it's important.

I was always very good at mathematics and didn't struggle at all with it. Well, ok, college calculus was a bit tough. I never bothered to memorize multiplication tables as I never saw a need for it. I was almost something of an "instinctual" mathemetician as one college professor put it. I just had an understanding for the operations themselves and so didn't memorize tables, rules, etc... I was always able to perform complex equations in my he

Thanks Kingbee. Actually I did get to speak with the Judge's secretary after my frustrating conversation with the clerk. Turns out it was the judge himself who refused to change the court date. He doesn't like truckers. Guess I'll just pay it and forget about it.

I can understand why some people feel the need to censor themselves for the sake of avoiding confrontaion or to be accepted. I also understand how the net gives them the chance to get outside of that by being annonymous. I am pretty much the same here as I am in real life. I rarely censor myself in either place. Yes, I do choose my words. I do so more for the sake of accurate communication of ideas than to avoid conflict or embarassment. <

Many of us have met, come into contact with or are related to famous or semi famous people, myself included. There's nothing wrong with mentioning these people if it happens to be appropriate to the article or comment. If it's the whole point then it becomes name-dropping. I have my share of stories involving famous people which I don't relate simply because it has never come up. Frankly, most of them are pretty boring people anyway. <img src=

Not around you, they dont. You may be surprised, though, if you could observe them in a segregated social event Hate to bust your bubble, but not all (or even most) blacks choose to speak that way. My friends and I have had conversations on this very subject. They view the "ebonics" thing as a degener

I just received this in an email from a friend. Thought I'd pass it along. As I Mature I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in. I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just assholes.

This whole article seems to be ill-founded and not very well thought out. just kidding. sometimes you have to pick your battles. I avoid many discussions for similar reasons. Many of them are simply pointless and not winable (not sure that's even a word) Religion and politics are the tops in that category. No matter how well the arguement is constructed and presented, it's a no win situation because it boils down to beliefs and opini

Swans are the only birds with penises. Huh? How do other birds reproduce? I'm sceptical. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown.
