These are the place THEY put the people who are spotted wearing tin foil hats to protect themselves from the signals THEY broadcast. Where do you think THEY take you in those whisper-jet black helicopters anyway?

Madine, I think the closest American version would be writing in Mickey Mouse or some such.
Very entertaining.
Thanks for the kind words dharma. Who knows what the future holds?
Miki....I kinda feel the same way about California
Thanks Floozie. You're right, of course, that a big part of the journey I have already started is not a matter of physical travel, but a "coming to terms" as you put it. Things change. Such is the nature of this life.
Hume is one of the greatest minds of all time. No, actually that would be myself, but of course I am far too modest to say so.
I really kinda prefer B
I just dropped off a couple of my better suits and my trenchcoat at the dry cleaners. I will need them for the (hopefully) upcoming job interviews after I get to Florida. I am sorting through my things, doing laundry, and basically deciding what I will take with me and what I will leave behind. As I am doing this, it's a sad thing. I am leaving my life behind
Sounds like Murphy is following you just as he does me. Also sounds like you have a very good bike shop there. The only bike shop around here is the pits. They gouge on everything so I just do all the repairs on my bike myself and pocket the money. Am thinking I would like to open a bike shop near the beach if I ever get to the point that I can afford to do so.
Hmm it is an interesting article. I really had no idea that Australia was so "tied in" with what is happening here in the US. It's kinda strange actually. I've always found Aussies to be a lot of fun to be around and a quite independent bunch; much like Americans in that respect. Being as we only have 50 states, I'm kinda curious who you think 51 and 52 are? I'm sure this was mentioned in another article someplace, but I may have missed it as
this one is my chuckle for the day. It really is amazing the things people will expend time and energy upon. I have to go with the Gov. on this one. "McGreevey called the ruling bureaucratic nonsense and an overreaction lacking in common sense." Common sense is a very uncommon commodity these days.
Yes, I understand your point completely. Sadly, the very people who stay home instead of going to the polls won't see the point.
Well written and well thought out. I tend to agree though that many voters are just fed up with the political process and don't see their votes counting for much. Same problem in the US. They just don't see it doing any good.
Have fun. I am definately a summer person. I truly hate cold weather.
A Virginia State Trooper was injured in a crash yesterday afternoon while responding to a call. According to State Police investigators, Trooper Hairston was westbound on US 57 in Henry County , VA when a car pulled out in front of him and they collided nearly head-on. Trooper Hairston had his lights and siren activated at the time of the crash. The Trooper w
Actually I don't blame her. It's free publicity. I blame the media for wasting valuable air time with garbage like this. Do they think anyone really gives a crap?
Marco, the difference is style. I would call it talent. I am not one who normally reads poetry, and certainly don't write poetry, but sometimes a piece I happen to see appeals to me as this one did. I would call it a talent for poetic style.
Sure thing dharma
I can teach you how to surf! dharma I appreciate the offer, but I spent a lot of my growing up years on a surf board. It's actually how I first injured my back years ago. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FF
Oh geez. I'm sorry to hear that. I know you are being philosphical about it all, and I commend you for that but still.........that sux.
I can only assume that you have not read Hume then. You shouldn't assume. My comment was actually more humorous than serious, but still IMHO Hume was full of crap.
when you have another person in your life you are responsible for their well-being and happiness. A very nice article and I agree with everything except this one statement. I see a lot of people fall into that trap, expecting someone else to be responsible for making them happy. We are each responsibl
Actually Hume failed to prove that. If he had proven it, that in itself would be an absolute truth.
