lol this article was funny If a guy values his dog over human realationships than he definitely should stick with the puppy! As zoologist said, guys don't have sex with their dogs. And that peanut butter thing with the dog is supposedly an urban myth. Dogs and guys are great. I love to see a happy dog with a happy owner.

Ok. Read the link. And I take issue with a one thing here. The article also referred to couples, not just women. So what is wrong with these men that they are just penciling in sex? Your previous scenarios, while interesting, don't really line up with the article after I read it. Still haven't read the one about fatherless pregnancies with IVF, but the method is a moot point since a woman can go to a sperm bank and get som

How about men maturing so that women who are able to take care of themselves look at them and say, "hey, I wouldn't mind sharing my life with you" rather than thinking, "Gee, a black lab in perpetual puppyhood would be less work." I don't think it is hard for a man to find a mate. If he is looking for a woman to cook, clean for him and agree with everything he says, then that is a different story. There are a lot of great men ou

I got a 40 but almost scored a 42 (some things I was really 50/50 like sleeping style and walking style)

One of the hardest things, though, is to watch kids choose to fail. An older teacher I worked with told me when I was stressing about one of my students not doing any work that I had to allow my students to make their own choices and let them learn from that. It's really hard for me, but in the end, most of them will pick up their socks and turn it around in the end when they realize failure IS possible.

I've been teaching for about 10 years now. I have enjoyed it quite a bit. I have taught across the spectrum. I have taught at a university, I taught at a nursery school. I taught at businesses, I have taught housewives and seniors. I have taught in an elementary and at high school. I taught EFL (English as a foreign language), English lit, history, healt

Is perception really everything? How much responsibility do we have for how others see us? How many of us have ever thought, "how the heck did that person get THAT idea about me?" Obviously, what we see of a person on a blog or at any given time, is most likely only a facet of that person. And I have had some of the most bizarre reactions f

Reminds me of Eurasian water milfoil. My understanding (unless urban legend then I will probably find out) was that US developed it to release in Vietnam to screw up water system. But somehow, it came back on equipment or something and was spread to lakes in North America. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. I do know this. If you are a boater in Canada, you are requird to wash your boat off if the lake has Eurasian water milfoil.

Isn't the impetus behind separating church and state is the persecution that the forefathers endured because of their god conflicting with the state? Lots of bloody conflicts to choose from where religion and state are fused. Witness the struggle of the protestants and catholics in England before QE I got to the throne. And she did a bit of cleansing herself. Also, divine right of kings? No wonder the French wanted to separate church and s

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and your priorities straight. Trinitie is right. With these things going for you, no matter how bad the other stuff gets, it will eventually get better for you.

Here is something I don't understand. According to the article I read on Yahoo, Newdow wants the wording returned to the version as it stood pre-1954. Had it been changed between its inception and 1954? "Newdow is hoping to get the high court to remove the pledge's reference to God and restore its pre-1954 wording, "one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." .<a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050915/ap_on_re_us/pledg

Fun to read everyone's favorites. Really interesting way to get a glimpse into someone else's life. I was laughing about the housecleaning Cordi. I am with you on that 100% Turning the alarm off and getting another 10 mins of sleep! I love it, too but I find that to be one of the mos

I collect its memorabilia and toys and such, and write fan stories as a hobby Fan fiction, huh? Cool. Haven't read much of it but I've read a bit about it in terms of the types of stories people write. One thing that the documentary made me wonder was if the movie "Nemises" was based on a fan

I rented this a while ago when hubby was on a business trip. I think he still hasn't come to terms with the fact that he has married a trekkie, so I try to oblige him by indulging when he is not around. He should just thank his lucky stars I'm not hard-core. My favorite movie? "The Undiscovered Country" when the Klingon moon of Praxis blows up and forces t

Ack.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, that is how I feel right now. I don't know what it is about me but I have a tendency to get myself in over my head. Must be some sense of overwhelming self confidence that I probably shouldn't have. Feels like the energy rut I've been in is cycling out and I've got a lot of better focus. I'm teaching a math course

"So, I guess what I'm asking is, am I a idiot for not wanting to have sex with her? I've been talking to her but was I an idiot for still talking to her which just lead her on? " How have you lead her on? Did you tell her you wanted to sleep with her? I think there is flirting which is playful and flirting which leads to sex. Only you know which road you were on. But regardless, I think you're an idiot for even thinking you have some kind
