I've been lurking mostly for a bit. Didn't really have much to write about. Been feeling at low ebb creatively and I didn't have much to write about unless it was ranting and didn't feel like focusing on that negative energy. I can't say about your dad, but sorry you went through that. However, good for you for breaking that cycle. Maybe that sounds lame, but my grandfather was less than exemplary and my Dad was the best. I was lucky. It takes an amazing person to analyze their past and to make conscious decisions about how they want to manage their present and their future rather than repeat the cycles ingrained on them from their past. god bl

I just researched more about this Galah cockatoo. It produces some kind of powder for it's feathers which is really hard on people with allergies. So nix the cockatoo. Apparantly, parrots don't have this powder thing going on.
