indeed, the same for me, not showing up on Impulse....
Nope, still the same error. Maybe this is a VMWS7 issue after all...

OK, I removed the beta build of WB7 and installed 7.01 public... The VMWare WS7 issue does not happen anymore :-) It must be a bug introduced in Build 255 beta????? ------------------- Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 7.6 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 7.8 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.01 (build 247 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this
I've tested this and could not duplicate the issue. I'm running it on a Dell Precision Workstation 690. 4GB Ram, Latest build of WB, Windows 7 x64. Video is NVIDIA Quadro FX 570. VMWare Workstation 7.0.1 build-227600. Running Alluminate by VStyler as my windowblind. You referenced driver version 197.45. I'm assuming that was a typo as the latest is 197.54 and there is no .45 version located in the archives.
What percentage of system memory are you assigning to the guest machine when this issue occurs?
25% - around 1-1.5GB out of the 4GB assigned to VMWare WS. I doubt it's a WS configuration issue as I only need to kill wbvista.exe for the issue to go away.
I just repeated the same test of killing the process wbvista.exe while using VMWare Workstation and the error goes away. --------------- WB details: Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 7.6 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 7.8 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.1 (build 255 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS (Dell U2410(Digital)) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Wblind.dll &nb
I suspect the crash in the nvidia driver and BSOD are being caused by your machine simply running out of memory. A user mode app like WindowBlinds wouldn't be capable of crashing a video driver, but it could be using just enough memory to push the machine over the edge.
Possible, but with the same memory settings and WB7 removed, WS7 works perfectly with no issues for hours. As soon as I enable a WB7 t
Further testing concludes that if I kill the wbvista.exe process it also fixes the vmware crash.
Hi I am experiencing a strange issue with the latest Windowblinds 7 downloaded via Impulse and VMWare Workstation 6.5/7.0 on my Windows 7 X64 and EVGA GTX295 gfx card using Nvidia 197.45 drivers. When using VMWare workstation to run guest machines, at random times (mostly during heavy memory/disk IO) VMWare would crash/hang/BSOD or even cause the nvidia display driver to crash with the following error message logged in vmware.log ... "Insufficient quota to complete the requested servi
I have the same issue with the RDP client and WB7. It varies amongst skins but a good example is the Windowblinds skin Acrylic by danilOoc, it works fine under Windows 7, just that I have to keep stretching the RDP client window around the edges of the desktop, very annoying. I really cant understand why RDP seems to react differently to evey othe app when skinned.
what about object dock 2, been waiting too long for this!
Hi Not sure if this has been reported but it seems that some skins with windowblinds 7 cause issue with the remote desktop client. When you remote to another machine the RDP window does not stretch to the border of the remote desktop. You need to scroll the screen around when it should fit around the border. It doesnt do this with all windowblinds skins (sabertooth is one that's OK) so I am not sure what's different. Anyone else see this issue?
Nice, if you're a girl. Seriously, great skin, congrats!
Excellent news, looking forward to it! Can you reveal some of the improvements for 2.0? I.e. can we expect 'reflections' on dock icons? It's something I have grown to love with XWindows Dock.
OK, this is weird! I am running Vista 64-bit SP1 and latest Impulse on two machines. On one machine everything is fine with Impulse, no issues at all. However, on the other, I noticed that there were a few programs in "My Desktop" that didnt have an icon. So, I checked C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\Images\Icons and lo and behold the odnt.png file is missing! So, I copied it from the working machine and reloaded Impulse, checked "My Desktop" and still no Icon on some of the apps! I t

Hi Is rightclick meant to work under Vista 64-bit? When I right click on the desktop it shows the Vista menu first and not the rightclick menu. Only if I right click again when the Vista menu is present do I see the right click menu. Weird.... thanks
yup, same thing here. Running latest WB v6, ultimate x64 all patches.
I just worked out what it was, ICON-X!!! Seems it doesnt like windowfx
Hi peeps, Can anyone tell me why the taskbar shadow refuses to work within WindowFX latest beta and non beta? The weird thing is, when i log off from XP i see the task bar shadow being applied briefly. Is there something conflicting with WindowFX? thanks.
