Fences 6.20 does not allow either shortcuts or folders to be created in Win11

I have Win 11 Home : Version 25H2, Build 26200.7623 installed and am unable to create a shortcut or new folder in on my desktop or a new folder(s) in Windows Explorer. I am using Fences 6.20, current update and am appalled at this unsatisfactory situation. Is there a solution or does one have to get one's money back?
