Sorry to hear you're still having problems. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out soon. For the Devs, I can say that this is the first version where I've been able to go through a full game without a crash, so kudos on that.

This bug has been around for a while. I thought I posted something about it a while back, but it's not in my list of posts. When you look at the Training window, you have the four buttons for Single, Group, Squad, etc. and another four buttons for Recruit, Veteran, Elite, etc. What's happening is if you gain techs enabling some or all of these buttons, then either load a previous save or start a new game, these buttons do not reset. They remain selectable. Currently the only way to fi
Not a big deal atm, but I wanted to mention it before I forget. I started a new game as the Magnar and in the Design window the Peasant design you start with only has 1 Movement. The Pioneer correctly has 2. New units also have 2. Also I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but the Magnar Pioneer has a club, which makes it cost quite a bit more than a Human (any of the Kingdom races) Pioneer.
While playing as an Empire, I was amazed to discover a Crystal Crag. I promptly built a town next to it and researched Arcane Experiments. After researching Arcane Experiments, I still couldn't build a mine on it. The text says I need to research Arcane Weapons in order to harvest, but Arcane Weapons is now the last tech in the crystal tech line (after Arcane Armor now). I suspect that when these techs got switched around, the tech to unlock the crystal mine didn't get changed as well. Since
TYVM I changed it to Super-Sampling and it works again. =) I would never have found this on my own!
This is still happening in 1.09t. :(
I see several posts about the game crashing with 1.09s, but in my case the game doesn't crash. Instead, the screen is just all white so I can't see the cloth map, units, or anything else other than the basic UI. I can hit Esc and the window appears with Save, Load, Options, Exit to Main Menu, etc. so I can exit to the main menu and then exit the game. I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, but the white screen still occurs. My video card is an ATI Radeon 5870 1GB and this
I find this particularly true of Metal. I can explore the entire map on Tiny and not find a single Metal resource. Then if I research Exploration and similar techs, it adds a whopping one Metal resource to the map, which may or may not be accessible to me, and even then if it's not near a food resource or if it's really far from my current holdings, it becomes incredibly difficult if not impossible to defend.
It would definitely be good to have Dodge working. A Shield is a joke without it...
Kingdom weapons, armor, and equipment updated to 1.10.
Somehow in fixing this the war staff was broken completely. It is now both the cheapest and best weapon for a long time.
I disagree that it's the cheapest. It has a high Gold cost, and Gold is what determines how much the unit's wages are. It's also a 2H weapon. This high Gold cost often leads me to continue using Spears in many cases. I also find the Short Sword at least equally effective, although it can be insa
Being able to designate group leaders might be nice.
I agree this would be cool, but it's not related to this topic. This is about the order units are displayed in when you click on the Training button, not the order of units in an Army. Feel free to make a new suggestion on that though.
That would work too.
Sacrilege! I completely disagree. I want more games to use modular components, not less!
I'm really shocked how not many people care about something this interesting. The defualt heroes were kinda bland. I'm interested now that I know about it. =) Especially as the Devs make more progress with ironing out stats, custom Champions become more interesting and less likely to break in future versions.
I was looking at the 1.09n weapon stats and dual-wielding actually fits very well within the damage vs. costs balancing they've got going now. I would suggest limiting dual-wielding to Clubs, Daggers, Axes, and Short Swords, at least to start out with. The reason I say it works well is because (in 1.09n): Gnarled Club - 3 Damage, costing 2 Gold and 3 Material. Dagger - 4 Damage (+1 CbtSpd, +1 Accuracy, +1 Dodge), costing 4 Gold, 2 Material, and 2 Metal. Staff -
In order to train archers now, you have to research Training, then Fortifications, and then Archery. Archery unlocks the Archery Range, which you have to build in your city before you can train any archers. Archery also unlocks the Crude Bow. They need to change Ranged Weapons to have Archery as a prerequisite and then it'll make sense again, although having to research Training and then Fortification is an awful lot. It'd be better if Archery was available after Training, without req
In 1.09n, the problem from the original post remains, but a new problem has arisen. Kingdom factions start with access to the Cedar Shortbow and the Cedar Longbow, but they don't have access to the Archery Range or the new Crude Bow.
Sounds good to me.
As of 1.09n only #3 remains.
As we create new units and/or as the game auto-generates units for us, they are added to the bottom of the list. When we go to train new units, they are shown in the same order as on the list in the Unit Design window. It would be really great to be able to select a unit on the list and have up and down arrows to move the unit up or down the list so we can put them in a logical order. For instance, I really like to have my units in order of cheapest to most expensive, or weakest to strongest

As of 1.09n, whenever the player creates a unit design, it goes into the My Games/Elemental/Units folder. This includes all designed Units, Sovereigns, and Champions (made by using the Sovereign creator and then removing the tag in the .XML file). Now, let's say I play a game as Tarthans and I create a unit design that has a leather cuirass and a spear. Let's say I call them "City Guard" for example. In my next game, maybe I play as Mancers, but I want the same thing
I see this thread made it onto the suggestion list. It can be removed now since it's no longer relevant. Thanks.
Happens to me as well on Windows 7 64-bit with Radeon 5870 1 GB video card.
