I think it's a great idea. I can't help on the design front, but i'm behind the concept. I am able to step back far enough to enjoy seeing the Borg and Federation fight, even if it means a big cube can get taken out by a smaller better armed fighter. Go for it! Yakumo

I also had an issue with music volume. I had turned the music volume slider down to about 1/3. But sometimes when loading a game from scratch or loading one while playing, the volume would be full blast until either :- 1. I researched something, then it would drop down to the correct level. 2. I went to options and just clicked on where the slider was at. Cheers for a great game, Yakumo

Hehe, i'm a jammy git. I preordered the download edition April 2005 and promptly forgot all about it thanks to burglaries and HDD failures. Yesterday I had a hankering for Gal Civ and I thought i'd check to see if it had been released yet. I don't get a fancy tech tree, but living in the UK, this is the best way to get the game early.
