Empire Realignment Taking Place in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

As some of you have noticed, there is a realignment taking place in the Metaverse. A new empire has formed to try to form a competitive alternative to the Galactic Guardians. Most empires today are dead or dying. A few will struggle on with a player or two and others will cautiously continue in their course. I encourage all who are dissatisfied with their current empires to find one that they enjoy and will participate in. The Metaverse will be more exciting to you and to new player

JT Good question. We were discussing this the other day in the Claw. We are not sure. I am at difficult 9.27 and still have a crippling shield. So, we know you have to greater than this. You can find your difficulty in the AltMeta. I have over 75% masso and it is not enough.

You might want to expand you horizons. You are not limited to chatting in just your empire (this is not a recruitment). Please drop by any of the empire threads that you see people posting in and join the fun, post, respond, etc. The GGs have a lot of visitors from other empires that drop by to shoot the moose, err.... the bull, so to speak. :D LOL :D LOL

I think what we are seeing here is why there are multiple empires in the Metaverse. Everyone wants to join a group of like minded people. Collecting only active players may not be enough of "likemindedness" to provide the glue to hold it together.

It seems to motivate peoplel more to climb to the top in competition with other people then to kill aliens that have a good AI, but are still dumb, i.e., they behave the same way game after game. Once you know what they will do, you have learned how to outsmart them. What GC needs

Maybe instead of founding a new empire, build on ED suggestion and form a Greater Meta Alliance, letting people remain in their empires but being a "super empire" that incorporates them as entities. That way they could still maintain their own identities. Not sure how this would work out in the Meta, but perhaps those with multiple personalities could tell people how to do that.
