Well it’s been a while since I posted about this subject, but fourteen months later this is where I’m at with it, my internal “Operating System Moral Code” intact. Having changed over to Mac OS X seven years ago for home (my IT work still requires me to be supporting XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.x & Windows 10) using Windows only for games and finally ridding myself of my PC a couple of years ago, I’ve had to arrive at a compromise for a few of my favouri

I'd like to see native versions, but just letting you know that I've had considerable success with running SoSE Rebellions under Crossover on OS X, only issue I've had was I needed to know the graphics settings back a notch from Highest to get it to be stable. If I run it at Highest on everything, it freezes within about 10 minutes. I have a similar issue with Skyrim too. Same fix seems to resolve it too. Turning AA off also helped with Skyrim. To be honest the slight decrease in
For me though, Windows is a operating system I no longer use at home. I have to provide support for it in a corporate environment, and it's broken before it boots! I want hardware & software that works, seamlessly integrates, and doesn't require me spending weeks just getting it work perform as it should. I too would like to see an OS X version of this game. Many developers are providing OS X clients now, some cider & wine ports, but also a lot of native clients. Sadly
Sorry there was a typo in the above but I've since fixed it, however I didn't notice I could edit the above before I posted this "correction"! [e digicons]:-"[/e] Oops, live & learn. But just to re-iterate... " The Game would NOT load correctly via the launcher. However, I found that I could open Dread Lords from the ".exe" directly rather than the loader." Editing the "Prefs.ini" file did the trick for me, but may not be the whole answe
I Purchased GC 2 Ultimate recently and had similar issues loading under Windows 7. The Game would NOT load correctly via the launcher. However, I found that I could open Dread Lords from the ".exe" directly rather than the loader. This is possibly due to a working configuration from a previous install of Dread Lords (only). This didn't work for Dark Avatar or Twilight though. On a hunch, I checked the "Prefs.ini" in all three and found that for the expansions the default
I've supported you're products for several years now, including some OS2 applications years ago. I've always felt your products offered excellent value for money. I bought both Galactic Civilization 1 & looked forward to 2 and haven't been disappointed. The fact that you've never deemed it necessary to resort to "copy protection", and your products are cheap i.e execellent value for money compared to many, has kept your products and company held in high regard with myself.
