Did it really take them that long to make this? Most of the UI's on Windowcustomize are better and more -usable and consistent- than that. Oh no...hope someone doesn't port this Longhorn theme to Windowblinds, and make...no money off of it. And the appearance of new, XP, and _Windows 3.11_ icons is disturbing. Particularly because it shows they're not building this thing "from the ground up".

alright...aren't the "desktop accessories" from the old black and white mac screenshot The Same Exact Ones, Except Less Fancy, that are shown in the dashboard screenshots. here's a link. http://images.apple.com/macosx/tiger/images/indexdashboard06282004.jpg notepad...check clock...check puzzle...check (not shown but was in the keynote video) calendar...check what's the big deal. just let apple do its thing. and same for object desktop, and konfabulator.

heh, there is a lack of quality in the objectdock section...if you need help with screening submissions i'd be glad to help. i'll admit some of my first icons should be removed, or shouldnt've made it, but i'm a lot more ive as to what i submit nowadays.

.png is vector - as long as you're dealing with fireworks, or illustrator. these programs save their editable paths (not raster) in .png format. rasters can also be contained in .png files, as well.

vector format is *.png . and in that case...there are lots on this site. of course, most people don't submit them in vector form, rather raster it, then send. try macromedia fireworks if you want to make your own.
