i have just bought a new computer with the amd athlon64 +3500 and was curious as the what people have to say that have tried the x64 operating systems..the only ones i have heard about are the windows xp prox64 and suse linux. i have 2.2gb memory, 300gb between 2 hdd, broadband internet, and mainly play a couple of games, work with photos, music, and would appreciate any opinions anyone would like to share. thanks!
i have also heard that some of the computer vendors if your computer is store bought will void the warranty if you flash the bios.. just a thought

i believe what has confused people with memory is the number of threads that programs use. since threads and memory work with each other, somewhere i think that the high number of threads became mistakenly confused to be the amount of consumption of memory. just a thought!!

do you have anykind of spyware programs that prevent loading or installing of progrmas? i have found that some do and this prevents wb from loading. a workaround for this is to go to the wb folder, right click on wbload, and copy it into your starup folder. this should allow wb to load.

to be able to use skins with yahoo right click on the yahoo icon and select properties, click find target, when folder opens yahoo should be highlighted (ypager) right click on icon and go to compatibility, and put a check on disable visual styles and yahoo skins will work properly without crashing...hope this helps!
when trying to install a toolbar icon to work with windowblinds i get a message saying that it is missing or corrupt; for example, i would like to install the qute toolbar but when i click on the jar file it creates a folder in the progam folder under windowblinds but will not show under the windowblind control panel to select? is there a different procedure for adding toolbar icons? thanks for any input <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles

what is your adblock setting, even if you have set allowed sites the adblock will not allow images to download or display..with zonealarm, the ad setting for skyscraper/banner ads block legit images and i have mine disabled but leave the popup/under checked and this works fine in my case..if you have any other programs that scan ads..you might have to adjust settings on that program as well..hope this helps <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smil
