The other weird thing about this map is there is next to no elerium ... I check the galactic market every turn and only very occasionally 1 x elerium comes up for sale for $1000 credits ... sucks because some of the most awesome ships in the bazaar are beam ships!

Hmmm this is an amazing find right next to my homeworld, but I hope this doesn't happen every game!
Crusades performance was pretty terrible ... the later DLC expansions include some huge performance and gameplay improvements :)
Great to know you all love the game so much that you are arguing about what you think is a bug or what you think is by design :)
So awesome ... completed my Starcontrol races collection too since they went Gold 👌
So excited about this ... Galciv3 has been calling me to load it up again and this will definitely get me back into it again 😉
Surprised to see Galciv3 so far down the list ... always thought that was your not so secret passion 😅 Didnt realise you worked on Starcraft ... that's a claim to fame for sure!
Don't get Galciv 3 (v4.0) mixed up with Galciv4 ... silly people :)
So awesome ... I've been itching to get back into Galciv3 again ... hopefully all of these awesome changes can stoke some life into the game and get some increased recognition and sales! I look forward to the unannounced feature where the player can choose a "random" civ for themselves ... here's hoping!
Good opportunity to include the "random civilization" feature for the player (not just the AI?) ??? [e digicons][/e]
Brad .... You shouldn't be playing StarCraft ... you should be focusing all of your time and energy into developing amazing games for us! That said, I spent many years playing StarCraft 1v1 matchmaking and I completely agree with the above ... my level is similar (Low Diamond) but I do love to cheese and make people rage quit [e digicons][/e]
hahaha classic ... yep you always need to be aware that there are many other civs all vying for victory also!
Haha after posting I dug this one out ... I would also love a "random" option in the choose race screen. Most other turn-based strategy games (i.e. civilization series) seem to have it ... it adds a lot of randomness and fun to the game in my opinion!
I'm sure it's probably been asked before ... but I can't seem to see a "random" option on the "choose civilization" screen ... it seems only opponents can be random? Wouldn't this be a nice "feature"? I would like to let the game choose a random civ so I can play it ... the surprise is part of the fun!
Devestating? Galciv3 seems to hold the record for the game with the most typos :P
Typo in the Snathi campaign ... not quite sure what the human is trying to say about the planet I just colonised :P
I love using that artifact on unbeatable massive fleets (with transport ships included) that are about to take one of my planets .... peow peow!
Try going to the diplomacy screen and finding out what is causing them to hate you early on, and do whatever you can to avoid conflict. Give them gifts, don't be afraid to give them tech etc when they ask. Diplomacy techs are important, as well as military tech ... specialist in Beam Weapons initially since Elerium is so plentiful on the map (but don't forget to research the bigger ship hulls and logistics (bigger fleet sizes) from the engineering tech tree). <
Finally winning my Milky Way campaign game against the Altarians on Normal difficulty ... I had the same problem as you, Altarians would always be far too strong and crush me ... but then I got better at the game and I strategically tried to Ally with them early, and made sure I always had a decent military. Milky Way campaign kind've sucks as it's missing most of the DLC features of the base game, and seems to be kind've slow ... gonna be happy to complete it in the ne
Sooo impressed that Stardock continues to support this game ... so much so in fact Stardock has become my favourite game developer! Would be interesting to see sales stats for all Stardock games ... I hope Galciv3 is one of the better ones! Note: Galciv3 is about to overtake Sins Rebellion as my most-played game of all time, however I still have the urge to play Sins so I'll no doubt get back to it at some point :)
Hmmm interesting ... didn't realise this ... not certain I like it but it's good to have the option I guess :)
Playing the Milky Way scenario .... the Krynn just surrendered and gave all their planets to the Yor ... however I noticed that the dozens of worlds they once had simply disappeared (or because Dead worlds) ... except for their homeworld which still existed but had no influence or defences ... what just happened? Is this normal?
Awesome ... is this the best forum to raise these issues or should I be raising them somewhere else?
Err and another one a few more dialog boxes away ...
OK I finally figured it out ... I just sat there and waited until the Altarians conquered the final planet on my behalf .... then the game let be finish the mission! Yusss ... I hope this helps someone else ...
