+ Chasbo I was however I was having issues with getting some windows games to work and the ones that are Linux supported had some major bugs as well. Pretty much 80% of all my games are Windows only along with all the software that I paid for so I had to switch back. I didn't want to go back to Win 10, 8.1 was an option however I was able to go back to the good ol days by getting a couple OEM keys which totally convinced me. Windows 7 is the last good Windows.

Hey guys long time no see! So I recently bought two Windows 7 Pro OEM keys and have it installed on my desktop. I had no issues with the installation, had to go through the phone activation but it was easy. The only issue I had was some updates wouldn't install so I had to keep trying to get them to but they ended up working eventually, just a lot of time waiting. Everything works well the 8.1 manufacturer drivers work with 7 so that's nice. I tried installing 7 on my new laptop but can't get
After learning things that I didn't know how to do before as far as Windows games go and Steam came out with something called "Proton" it's based on WINE and runs straight from the Linux Steam client. All I had to do was install the Nvidia drivers for my machine, install steam and click install. BF2 was first on my wish list to test out and it works perfectly, no bugs, crashes so far. I love it! I'm going to do some reasearch to see if it's possible to somehow use mods, but still this is pret
So I made a huge decision. I switched over to Linux. Yes I ditched Windows. After almost loosing all of my data trying to update to the October 2018 update and the overwhelming issues I have with Windows in general I went back to good ol Elementary OS. Don't worry I'll still be visiting this site everyday and posting. There's probably a lot of you guys that want to punch me and I'll be watching for your fist to come through my screen [e digicons]XD[/e] . <img src="https://c
Hi, There wasn't anyone I knew that had an old Windows 7 product key so I'm looking to purchase one. Is it still possible to? And if so where do I go to buy one legally? Thanks
So When I was on my downloads page some weeks ago I remember seeing a beta download option for WindowBlinds. It's not there anymore but I wanted to know what was new since I didn't download and install it.
Greetings friends, So I started using the Opera browser and noticed that it doesn't cooperate with any windowblinds skins. I remember I had asked the same thing with Chrome and someone pointed me to another topic that had the solution to go into the chrome settings and disable it. Has someone been able to do the same with Opera? <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/68/75/6875242/3e59d3ba-eaef-4e77-85b5-9e8d500c340f.png" alt="" width="1360" hei
Hey, it worked! Thanks pal! [e digicons]:D[/e]
Hi, So for some reason I still cannot change my account username or password. I was still having this problem awhile which was shortly after I created the account. I get a message that says: I know that I'm entering the right password. I've tried clearing my browser cache, using different browsers etc. Can someone help me wit
So I was working on something earlier this morning and Glasswire notified me that data was being sent from the UWP Photos app to Microsoft's servers. Like what the heck? Windows 10 is scary.. [e digicons]8|[/e]
Totally agree! It feels so odd using universal apps especially for the settings. I'm so used to doing everything in the control panel. Windows 7 was the best of em all! I'm really happy that the Stardock Design team created the Diamond theme for WB, it's an exact replica.
Hey yall, I remember using Windows Vista back in the day and Windows 7. I remember how much I loved the Aero Glass theme that Microsoft released in an update. Everybody was talking about it and it got really good feedback. Then Windows 8 came out they switched over to the "Metro" design concept. I don't know, in my opinion I didn't really care for the new design I rather missed the old Aero Glass look. They stated that some of the reasons why they changed it was to incr
Hi, I know that Mac OS has a blurry transparent like background that functions with the wallpaper. I was looking through Deviantart and saw that some people where just using Photoshop to blur the bottom part of the wallpaper that they were wanting to use and then making that into a rocketdock background. It looks pretty nice overall. I was wondering, could I do the same with Objectdock? <a href="https://www.deviantart.com/afgdesign/art/RKLauncher-
I actually kinda like it, it has that older Mac OS feel to it. I'll give it as try, thanks!
Good question, I don't because I have invested a ton of $ on software that is Windows only, and games that are also Windows only, and I'm also not willing to pay the overpriced amount of Apple's products. Overall I just like the design of the OS itself and have always enjoyed making the OS I have look like different ones.
Hi, Yes I'm asking about the possibilities of Skin Studio again... I just felt like I needed to post this here. I have an urge to go ahead and try to create or modify my first theme but due to overwhelming frustration and simply putting it off for now I haven't done so. I am a huge fan of the Apple aesthetic. There are some pretty good Mac themes on Wincustomize such as Mac OS X Ultimate and the default El Capitan theme already installed. There haven't been any dark one
I thought I'd embrace myself in my favorite color this month! Icon Theme: https://www.deviantart.com/octaviotti/art/Neue-Folders-Iconpack-Lavender-752331388
Thanks Chasbo! :)
It's not August anymore but here's mine. Yes I know it's nothing special, just a Windows installation that looks similar to Mac OS but I've spent a lot of time making it so.
Hi, I just started using the DiamondBar Rainmeter skin to make my Windows installation look like Mac OS and I have to say that it looks exactly like the Finderbar. I'm having a couple of issues. 1. First is the Wifi applet for Diamondbar. It has no functionality, I have my Windows taskbar hidden so it's a pain to have to unhide it or go into the settings to adjust the network settings. How can I add functionality to it? 2. T
Hahaha nevermind I found it. I had no idea rainmeter stuff was on this site...
JuniorCrooks Nice, I've never used Rainmeter before but I'll give it a shot. Do you have the link to this project?
I've been looking for a good Mac like finderbar for Windows. I happened to see a youtube video of someone using what appears to be software that Stardock once had called "Objectbar". What happened to it? Did they discontinue it, and if so how come?
I don't know if anyone has ever used Blackarch Linux before but the theme is very basic, old, but neat looking. It would be awesome if someone created this for WindowBlinds. Just a suggestion :) https://blackarch.org/
Hi, Is it possible to adjust custom coloring and transparency of tabbed docks or is it just with zoomers? Thanks
