I get that some game companies don't want to add LAN support for fear of piracy. But the time has come to add it. The developers have shifted their focus to other games, and the recent server outage meant I couldn't play multiplayer with friends. If the developer can't guarantee server functionality, it's time to let people use LAN and other peer to peer multiplayer without requiring stardock servers. This will create a better user experience and ensure the games longevity long into the futur

I'd like to start by saying Offworld Trading Company looks like an amazing game. I'd love to play it, but my gaming PC runs linux, and I would need a linux version of the game. I'm posting here in hopes of alerting the developers to the possibility of porting the game, if they haven't already considered it. The engine on which the game is built, unity, already supports linux, which should make the job much easier. The port could be done in house, or there are several c
