Kerry, Installed the download from PCWorld and it is the same one I had before 1.00.2787. PCworld.com site says that it is v.1.0! Guess I'll have to ride it out for awhile and see what happens. Regards, Ken

Three or four times over the past month, I'll find all the icons that were in Fences have been moved back to the Desktop. The fence frames are still their and correctly titled, but all are empty. If I have neglected to create a snapshot, it's rebuild time all over again. (I know, shame on me for not backing up.) Nonetheless, what's up with Fences and why is it so unstable? Environment: Win 7 Pro, 64bit dual core with 8 GB memory. <

GhoS, BTW, Right Click is found as a sub-topic within the Object Desktop. The only way I found it was to go through each newsgroup, until I noticed the "pick a subject" drop down at the bottom of the page. As a design comment, the "pick a subject" really ought to be more prominent, since it holds a key to finding things that do not otherwise get displayed. Ken

GhoS, I posted my original questions there 11 and 12 days ago respectively and so far, no response. There are only about 10 posts in that group and there has been exactly 1 response. Do you know if anyone has responsibility for monitoring that newsgroup? Or... is it possible to contact the developer directly? At any rate, the lack of response is frustrating.

Thanks everyone. Turning on the Beta switch got it back on the menu. Too bad about it never getting out of Beta. I found it to be very useful. Was any reason given for not going forward and do users have any say so vis a vis what goes "live" or not? Given the chance, I'd vote for getting it out of Beta. Ken

I had a copy of Tree viewer and recently discovered that I uninstalled it for some reason. Now I can't find it on either Stardock or WinCustomize and it's not listed in my version of Stardock Central. It was very useful and I'd sure like to get another copy. Ken - Pyramid36

I posted this same basic issue about a day ago and haven't heard a peep from anyone. I spent over an hour populating the Right Click tool, which is, by the way, a very cool and convienant tool, and now it doesn't work. I can see the submenu's in the appropriate folder but when I turn on Right click they're gone and there doesn't appear to be any way to reconnect to them... at all! Please help. I really don't want to invest another hour in s

After spending considerable amount of time creating submenus in Right Click, which I love by the way, I had to shut down my system and in the process I've lost the connection to the submenus. I can see the files in the Right Click\Bars folder but when I start Right Click the menu to edit is called Desktop Menu and the Active window is empty. I can't find anyway to select the submenus I created and would prefer not to have to recreate them especially

I really like the new look of Wincustomize.com and the forum. But I'm distressed that a highly useful feature "Show My Post" has disappeared from the top. It was really quick and easy to check for responses to my posts. Where did it go or has it been eliminated entirely? Ken

But wait, there's more. Since the last post DTX has died on me several more times. I finally started looking closely at the error message that Windows presented and noticed a reference to an IconX .dll file. I then uninstalled IconX. DTX reloaded OK after that. DTX still crashes on occasion but so far has restarted every time without having to unistall/install a bunch of Wincustomize applications. Now, is there some way to pass this on to the DTX development/support team? I assu

Sorry it's taken so long to follow up on this, but I've been playing around with it to try and figure out what's going on. I tried JourneyMan's suggestion by deleting "username Theme" folder and have had mixed results. The first time I did it things were OK for awhile and then the problem occured again. The next time DeskTopX crashed, however, I wound up having to remove just about everything exept Stardock Central. Pleaes bear in mind that I wasn't very rigourous due to lack of time. That

Yes, I have the registered version. I'm running XP SP2 and I wondered if the SP2 "upgrade" might be the culprit? Also, should I unload DTX and start over now and do I need to uninstall anything else as well before I try adding objects?

DTX crashed over and over on me last week, so I reinstalled it day before yesterday and it started going down again this afternoon. I was so frustrated when I couldn't get to work last week that I ulitmately un-installed all of my Stardock applications, WinBlinds, Object Desktop, Icon tools, Win FX, Object Bars, etc. After reinsatlling everything seemed to go along pretty well. I'm not sure, but it seems that things started falling apart as I added some widgets to the desktop. I've removed t
