Reply to slow down as game progress in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I found out it has to do with the size of the universe. I have the next to largest universe and its not as slow as the biggest universe. It just takes a long time to iniatly start up. wildhare

Each time I start GalCiv it takes longer and longer to finally start. I have a big galaxy but when I first started the game it was reasonably fast. Now its soooo slow. my hardware is as follows: Intel P4 3.06GHz 256MB's RDram 1066 FSB 533MHz ATI 7000 Radon video card DirecX 9.0, it came with the CD. thanks wildhare ~SDC~
