Personally, I like the present system. However, I wouldn't be averse to a a toggle under the game options screen (map size, difficulty, victory conditions, etc) of "Mortal Champions" (mouseover: "Champions are slain when defeated in combat").
I fully agree with tid242 on the subject, the injury system is a pretty good compromise between death on the one side and little to no pe

I am trying to bring shrines (and mines) into the save guard area of a city, because then they can not be damaged by opponents that are not willing to pick a fight with my city. If a finished shrine or mine connects to a city, the city adds the shrine to the list of things needing to be built (and essentially starts from a scratch status, using up a load of turns of the cities production. So a working shrine requires to be "built" again as a building within citylimits?</p

Unlike my first impression, it works to a degree, to research Ereog's Journal I actually am automatically forced to research Eduction. Nonetheless, I am still entirely confused about the subjects being highlighted and then studied (like pressing Ereog's Journal leading to the study of channeling first, although Eduction does not have channeling as a prerequisite.) Sry, right now I am not sure which part would be the buggy part, but for me it is not intuitive and not re

When some wolves spawned they also landed on impassable mountain fields where I can not attack them. I am not sure that they remain stuck there for ever, but it does not feel good to have creatures sit in the middle of my territory. I assume they should not have landed on a mountain in the first place? Just realised: post is duplicate to https://forums.stardock.com/422809
perhaps a minimum damage should be 2 and then we have the ping for dramatic effect for one damage, although i prefer 1 damage per attacker in a unit - a five man squad pings for three and a 5 man for five (for comparison, that 5 man squad with a minimum damage of 2 on a normal hit would be striking for 10 damage)
IMHO: In the early game a minimum of 2 -> minimum of 6 for a troop of 3 would be too much damage for th

I have seen this happening to campsites, mines and shards as well. At least on the mines and shards this occured for me in the context of destroying the building built by an opponent on that site. In such cases the object reappeared a few rounds later, in case of inn and campsite this self-repair likelyhood seemed to be lower.

Found the zip, but the Err File contains the command line parameters which in my case include my ID and password for your site in plain readable form. I can remove it, but it still is unfortunate. (Likely impacts only the people that need to provide their ID and password on the command line of the program start which is only necessary if you changed it after the initial download of the beta.)

Same here and same as in WoM, very agressive play gets you the main or all cities of most of your opponents in the first 50-100 turns and a huge advantage over the rest of the AI players (playing on a large map). But it is better than in WoM, because your troops are not moving as quickly as in WoM (2(-3) instead of 3-5 Movement points for a regular hero). I assume with a higher difficulty setting the number of residential troops is bigger in cities making i

The govern screen works for me in terms of displaying similar numbers to the ingame display [0.91 playing Gilden]. Anything special to be considered, like your relevant champions are in a recovering mode or something like that? On the downside of things, it is saying I can reach level 3 in x seasons although I have insufficient food. Therefore the information is wrong. I actually will never reach the next level unless I either build something that creates additional grain or food

Yeah, see your point :) I think it is a background / foreground issue, not a late gratification. Like if you work with Powerpoint and move an object to the back or front. On a window definition engine as a minimum you usually have a parent / child relation option (not used here) and the display location "on top" of initiating window (which I think they might want to use here, but did not).

Thank you ;-) I really overlooked that Ereog's Journal actually should require Education, so for a minute I thought this is not a bug. [learned more, see further posts please] I am playing Gilden, and the game automatically selected Channeling as something to be finished before Ereog's Journal when clicking on Ereog's Journal. In contrast to my expectation I can now study Ereog's Journal alt

1. Clicking Detail does not open the window of the city in the foreground. (It is opened in the background hidden behind the ledger?) 2. I am missing a production column in the city ledger to help me find the city with the biggest production?

It would be useful to have the experience bar in addition to the encumbrance bar also on the Unit Details Window. It is the only information item missing on the unit details window. In similar fashion the city detail view could contain the city level bar indicating the population required for leveling up.

The research view with the line connectors implies that you can research along these lines, but actually you need to research everthing out of one level before you can research something out of the next. Will this be corrected so that I can research for example Ereog's Journals before channeling ? WoM was supporting such things, I think this would be a relevant step back.

Some minor stuff: 1. Train Units display bug Train Units, the display of the selected unit (bottom part of train unit) shows the total HitPoints of the party (3x9=27), but the single Attack (7) value. In all other displays about the party stats the totals for hitpoints and Attack (3x7=21) are displayed. (The mouse-over details on the Attack 7 are showing single unit value 7 party factor 3 result 21.) In this context the Defensive val

Choosing a Magical Profession: 1. After modification to a magical profession level, the help text is only shown (correctly) when you move the cursor away from the selection and then back onto it. This means I continue to see the description of level 1 after switching to level 2. Would recommend to trigger the update of the help text for magical profession also everytime a selection change arrow has been hit. (Not just when cursor is moved onto when of the magic

Set-up starts without a profession. When selecting a profession one point is used up. (intended? I think that was different in .8) I can not deselect profession choice and therefore can not regain the set-up point for other purposes. Is profession selection mandatory (I think it should)? If yes should it use up one of the points?
