I've been outta the loop for a few months (new job) so I may be off base, but wouldn't wreckage be useful for Scavenger Class ships, or is that no longer a thing?
Hmmm... is the base premise of this race the Reaver plot from Serenity? Like the race concept, may need to work on the origins.
I wasn't even thinking about that, but admittedly it does sound similar at face value. I still believe the GV's origins fit well into SC:O lore, as it's already been established the Scryve meddle with species-wide bio-manipulation in their quest for dominance. Because of their arrog

Are we only concerned/concentrating on 1v1 melee? If a fun, functional method for group battles is a possibility, I think SC:O will find its way into more gamers' hands. If considering group melee, how would "leashing" work?
I was thinking this concept would be especially useful for MP Melee. It keeps everyone in the battle while also helping to alleviate sensory overload, with all the ships, vapor trails, torpedoes, and blasters flying around. You could also have different Melee modes. Novastorm, I'm not saying or suggesting to leave the ending in an "open book" state, and I certainly understand it would be virtually impossible to guesstimate and program every possible variance in the ending that every member of the gaming community could think of. My wanting to choose the "Path of Now and Forever" or the "Eternal Doctrine" was simply a way to illustrate that having options would bring diversity to the game/story and increase replayability. Although this is my first post, I have read many throughout this forum but have not seen anyone comment on a "Karma" system for the Star Control reboot. Before I get into this, let me give you a little background on my SC experience... I first played SC II in my youth shortly after buying my cousin's 3DO for $200 (so he could purchase a Sega CD system) and instantly fell in love. It is the first game I've ever played that utilized truly ambiguous adventure.&nb
