I understand that if I'm racing ahead then the ai should try and clip my wings but I just quit out of a campaign mission in which I got hit by two underground nukes on the first sol and they weren't even available on the black market D : Not fun, if I go back to finish that mission I think I'll just run through it on

Agreed, the thing I like about the pause is there is time to check details that you would be too busy to check most of the time but you also need to make sure noone gets an auction for 8k because nobody was paying attention, an interesting split of your focus. It also causes tension when you're buying someone out or there is a stock race whilst you all pause for some arbitrary patent to be sold off.

It was exactly as if we had cancelled the build part way through but neither of us had. It hasn't happened before or since. Hey, A couple of glitches surfaced tonight on beta 8. On one game a couple of us found buildings (a steel mill and my patent lab) were cancelling their build part way through and refunding the cash/resources. I also had a bug where the UI no longer responded to WASD which as I dont use edge of screen scrolling was a little fatal. Cheers, Ed

Hey, I have found, as well as some other people so this may well be old news, that the game has finished loading and has started before the loading screen disappears. This means the debt timer is occaisionally at about $9000 before I get a look at the map. Super frustrating when you can hear the start music and youre looking at a black screen with audio loading written on it xD I am running this on an only slightly upgraded mid 2008 imac so this may have something to do
