What's the criteria for actually being on this list? If there is none we might as well just browse through the forums. If there is some criteria you have to worry about crybaby drama from people who don't get their suggestion on this list. The best option here is to give this thread more use by categorizing the suggestions so we could easily find all suggestions related to a certain topic.

I understand the aversion to late game micromangement, but AoW:SM? Seriously? That game was definitely one of the least annoying in terms of city management. The only complaint I had was the short queue, which is easily fixed. You barely ever have to worry about unrest and you don't have to worry about micromanaging plots. Let me tell you what happens when you simplify and automate things much more than that. You create an abomination like Master of Orion 3 that looks great on paper,

Here's a mismash of ideas relevant to heroes. Neutral Heroes - There are already some threads on neutral heroes and other wandering monsters. How they should behave and what spawns them is something I'm not prepared to debate, but do want to suggest a minor feature. When player heroes die they should be automatically and silently added to a file listing all their stats, abilities, and items. In future worlds neutra

It would require at least one new customization screen to be designed so you want to give the artists and interface guys some time to get ideas on it. With increasing customization means a harder time predicting how gameplay will flow. If

A lazy solution like giving a them certain amouts of lives wouldn't even be that bad. I'd still prefer him just respawning after time with some stat/level loss after a certain amount of time. I could easily see some random rare monster coming out of the fog and killing you early to mid game and I don't know if losing the game is an appropriate punishment for that. Most games should have some sort of victory condition anyways and if you kill someones sovereign four times I highly doubt

I liked the way Dom3 did their sovereigns so you weren't forced to reload. You would be reincarnated at a friendly city in X turns (dependent on how much you devoted to calling them back) and when you did come back you had permenant stat loss. It sucked losing your leader, but it didn't always mean immediate game over/load.

Dominions 3 AI doesn't think while you are playing like a good simultaneous turn AI should. Civ 4 was kind of different since things could actually happen mid turn that it might have to think about. Turn based games also mean that multithreading is far, far easier than normal. One of the main problems with multithreading is that the threads need to be synced up perfectly or you're in for a crash and some nightmare debugging. With turn based games (especially simultaneous turns) all th

The ultimate solution to this is adding an option to disallow assassination victories so you don't lose when the sovereign dies. I'm pro assassination victory though. Takes way too long to end some games without it and without it the underdogs have no hope and should just quit after a certrain point.

Traits can be hidden from opponents, but there needs to be easy ways to find out things. Certain things should be apparent almost instantly on encounter. I obviously can tell that the race is all lizardman the second I see them. It also would be very easy to get a handle on what kind of society they are and therefore summizing that they are a farming or military faction would be known on encounter. There needs to be a way to find out all traits with some effort through spying or magic. Some t

The decision to make the sovereign a unit is a great decision. Another layer of strategy and choices Having your character actually on the map and killable is a welcome change from most other similar games Actual risk and consequences Adds lots of fun RPG character building to those who enjoy it. Gives underdogs a chance to seriously damage super empires by taking out the sovereign in some clever/sneaky way.

[As with most of my detailed posts I would appreciate any feedback on better formatting/bulleting/colors/sizes to help out readability] Having nations with bonuses. weaknesses, and affinities are always a nice way to add diversity and longevity to a game. H owever, I really want to see the game go beyond just minor differences. I would like to see that factions and sovereigns could be customized to the extent that they ca

While I thought this bug was a one time deal that I couldn't reproduce I was apparently wrong. I started up Elemental and set the mipmap levels to 1 and started a new game and immediately had fun lines all over the camera (as welll as the awesome spawn position off the map with no channeler. Restarted and tried again and the lines were still there. Changed mipmap around and the lines persisted. I then took the advice to change resolution to the lowest setting and the g

Now I know I have a lot of graphics issues with the Radeon 1900XTX I use, but this seems to be a different type from the others I'm seeing. After conquering the other town/soverign that started right next to me I found that the borders got all screwed up as shown below. This happens in a lot of games because it is exactly what real life players would do to stop you from a runaway victory. It can get really annoying though. I've played a lot of games where I start to get big and then suddenly, everyone who is even remotely near me is threatened by my borders and size and hate me. It essentially throws the entire diplomacy aspect of the game out the window. The problem seems to happen the most in games where diffculty level determines how much AI hate you. Tur
I watched a game of Supreme Commander from the winning guys side (who zoomed out to the maximum) and it was so boring to watch that I knew that it would never become spectatorfriendly if the strategic map was allowed to be used.
You know you they have spectator spots and replays in games for a reason. You don't always have to watch things through one player's eyes.

Will the beta allow us to view some of the used python scripting so we can start getting a feel for how it is implemented and evolves throughout the beta? If not, at what point would it become available? Being able to look at and have time to digest it now could save us that learning time when there is actual modding to be done. Though it'd be even better if we could screw around with random python scripts during beta for when we lose all will to torture ourselves with whatever
I'm waiting for a follower of MoM and AOW:SM, but I'm not sure, if Elemental is it. The map of Elemental is only brown for me. I have no fantasy feeling, more the feeling of a explorer in Civ. I wish to see effects on the map, like a volcanic eruption (MoM has it). A little bit more 3D and interaction with me as player and a context based UI in the map would be great. I hope Elemental to be a great game, but I can't see thi
