Basj, My Stardock account has a license for 5 Start11 ver2 devices. As it turns out, the message saying Start11 was not activated anymore and would stop working was only on one of those - the PC that did the demo for Object Desktop. It was much easier to do what I did and seemed much less risky, as nobody at Stardock could actually tell me why I had this problem.

For anybody that is interested I solved the problem myself. This was obviously a development problem at Stardock in their way of offering trials of Connection Explorer, which actually signs you to Object Desktop (which includes Start11) for that demo. Unfortunately, if you do not want all of Object Desktop at end of Connection Explorer demo, Stardock now assumes on that device that you no longer have a license for Start11, but also does not allow you to reenter the key you aleady have for Sta

Basj, I have licenses for all versions of Start, but the only one I am currently using, on all of my PCs, and the ones I am getting expiration notices for, is Start 11 ver 2. I had purchased a lifetime license and which shows on the Stardock site under my account, as ver2, with its license key and it also shows the 5 PCs that are licensed. I feel that the trigger for this problem may have been downloading the free beta of Connection Explorer, which Stardock then registered me for Obje

G'day. Been a long time subscriber with Stardock and more specifically all of the Start 8 to Start11 ver 2 products. I made a stupid (apparently) mistake trying the free new Connection Explorer beta. I liked it, but when looking to subscribe to it found out that one had to buy ALL products, which included what I already had. No thanks. But when the demo expired, all of my 5 PCs went into Start11 activation hell with pop-ups saying Start11 had expired and to get new subscriptions. However, I h

G'day, I have 6 copies of this Start11 software and have been using it on all my PCs and laptops since version 8. I have a current problem on only one laptop (HP Envy 360) (see grab below) and also not on my other HP laptop, or several PCs running Windows 11. All machines use the same Start11 setup parameters. I believe I have tried everything possible on the HP Envy and so far the only way I can solve this problem is to turn of "Let Start11 enhance Taskbar" and then turn it back on,

After updating Win10 (effectively reinstalling it) when I try to reinstall Start 10 it tells me to reboot to finish uninstall. I reboot, then the setup for Start10 repeats this message, so I can never install Start10. I have even run Revo uninstaller Pro, which did find a bunch of left over Start10 or Start8 files and folders, but that did not allow me to then run the Start10 installer successfully. Anybody have any ideas?

Thank you so much Neil. It certainly appears you were right. I did a Windows 10 repair (update) run after uninstalling Start 10. I had done an upgrade from Windows 8 to 10 and I now agree that Start 8 and 10 were most likely masking that problem. After updating Win 10 it fixed that problem and several others I was experiencing in the GUI. Time now to reinstall Start10 Jan

I have purchased 4 licenses for Start 10 and therefore have 4 keys. I only have about 8 computers and all running Start 10. 6 have been upgraded from Win7 and 2 came installed with Win 10. Every now and again, the installation process for Start 10 (or 8) has mentioned that I needed to get a new license and I did. But now I find out that each single license can have be used on up to 5 of my PCs. I got Stardock to send me an email with all of my license codes (and they did) but h
