If you made those maps in v1.03, they won't work in v1.04... sorry, but apparently that's "working as intended"Best Regards,WC
Ok... so the obvious question is, when is galaxy forge going to be updated?
Lord Allen
that may be it then... I still have the original game and probably will for awhile as the computer I have the game on is not connected to the internet. Thanks for the feedback!
I will have to check into that, I believe I have all items researched but have only been able to go slightly over 2000. You don't recall what Civilian tech it was?
How does one get a fleet size up to 2300 as Vasari? I have seen this posted somewhere else but can't find it now. Sorry, to hijack this thread...
Wasn't there going to be an update to the diplomacy interface allowing the player more interaction with the AI in sp games? Any idea when this update will be ready?
It appears the only way to get "instant" RA to help defend a planet is to have an available supply and all gates off autocast until needed. I currently control 16 planets in a game and when a planet is attacked I activate the gate and within seconds get 5 or 6 ships. While this is great for defending against pirates and rebels, I cannot see how advantages or unbalancing this would be against a human player attacking my outer worlds. I have seen posts where some players say they can g
They also tend to attack the closest planet to them of the player who is Wanted. In the case you presented all 3 of the planets being attacked are 3 jumps from the pirate base, so they will be randomly chosen.
Actually, planets 1 & 2 are three jumps away and planet 3 is four jumps... so planets 1 & 2 would be randomly chosen not 1, 2 & 3.
Do the Phase Gates work between stars? If so, then you have another way to quickly move between stars, and without using the star itself. Something to keep in mind, if they do work this way.
I believe they do, the game I am playing now I control my starting galaxy and have a stronghold presents in both other galaxies. Getting to each of the others was via the conventional phase lanes, and I notice my trade & refinery shipping using these lanes as well. I can only ass
They don't 'instantly' re-appear at the other planet(like when you use a wormhole) They still phase, but instead of having to phase through every planet to get to the destination, they can just make 1 long phase directly to the planet you told them to go to.
Ahhh... so perhaps I was doing it correctly, it just seemed to me that would take too long and not arrive in time to help. I had decided at one point before placing 2 or 3 units on each planet to leave an open supply o
Simple. All your RA ships come from Phase Stabilizers. So when you want to mass them, just use those Phase Stabilizers to fly them all to the planet where you want to form your fleet. Then if you ever get attacked, send groups of ships back through the Stabilizer to the planet which is to be defended, or to the nearest Stabilizer-armed planet and then jump the normal way to the scene of the battle.
I tried to send them once by clicking on the fleet I wanted to move and th
Phase Stabilizers allow near-instant travel for your ships between any two of them, so the Dark Fleet is easy to mass into one group and deploy to just about any region of your empire.
This point I'm a bit puzzled about. I have used RA to bring a couple defensive ships to each planet I am protecting in my empire, I then have turned off the stab. This seems to work real well for rebels and pirates. If I wanted to mass one large fleet and let it patrol the entire
Lord Allen,I have strickly played the Vasari, and can tell you that you can shut off the phase gate's ability by turning off the autocast. Just select the gate, then click the button and your done. When your ships get killed off, the ship cap will go back to normal, allowing you to build more ships. I had the same problem, and this fixed everything. It is a cool tech though, epsecially if you need ships and are low on cash and need to defend your planets.DANMAN
Thanks
the -4 supply probably means you are in a processing of upgrading another fleet supply and it have not finished yet, but you queued up a lot of ships that are not going to build until it is above the supply.
Actually at this point I only had about 25 supply and had not upgraded for additional supply it ate that up to -4. I saved the game and decided to upgrade to the next level and just watch what happens, and it began using it up again and sending ships to the 3 planets
Every phase gate can use it and starts with it on autocast if you researched it.
This is a problem I am now encountering, having only begun playing this race. Is there a way, possibly by disabling autocast, to stop this tech from using up all the available supply? I notice if I have any supply available, or I create more supply and don't use it right away, the dark fleet assigns it to a point of negative value in some cases. Right now I am at -4 supply.<br
Some really good information in here, thanks guys. I just started looking at the Vasari recently and am interested in developing my skills playing this race. I would like to know what ships you use for your defensive and offensive fleets and any information regarding the returning armada (DF)? will be helpful as I have yet to get to that point. I am not sure how to activate it, direct it or what to do with it once it finishes off the invading fleet.
I didn't know about the ability to direct your allies fleet either. I am wondering however, what might happen if you allowed your allies to attack the enemy fleet to a point where he needs to withdraw and then move yours in? Would he continue fighting a hopeless battle until you did enter the fight and then withdraw or even if this would give you any advantage whatsoever.
What apparently happened was the research had been queued but not completed. I had tried to manually redirect the construction ships but they would only arrive at the new location and sit idle. Once the research was completed though, the construction ship went right to work!
Ah... I actually thought that might be it and was going to check it tonight... thanks
Hello everyone, I am a new player having only recently seen and purchased this game and I must say... whew, very addictive! I found myself looking up at the clock yesterday to find that 3 hours had gone by in what seemed like 20 minutes. That is something I have not experienced in quite awhile. In the game I am playing (my second), something strange happened and I wondered if anyone else had this happen to them: I had built a planetary shield and jump inhibitor at
Wouldn't an executable update be easier? So, I need to download and install a separate program... "stardock central", the game and have some kind of working knowledge of archiving and restoring files with this "program" and do it on both computers? I think I will be playing the "out of the box version" for some time to come... (sigh)
I tried to update the game right after I intalled it, and was directed to a page which asked for my serial number, which said it could be found on a sticker inside the DVD case. I see no such sticker... Help?
Let me ask a stupid question... It seems that in order to update this game, one must have it installed on a computer that is connected to the internet? What about those of u
