*sigh* ok ok Code Monkey....I'm so so sorry. I forgot how faceless interaction (such as this) can get to people's heads. I shall now completely drop this childish conversation as it would get neither of us anywhere. I'm now going to go to some other post and beg someone to show me how to get the patch. Although....with the problems I've been reading about....should I wait for a later update?

"Capitol" Musical Chairs- I've noticed that alien capitols switch all the time, too. They have since the day I first played. I don't know if they're supposed to do that or not. I do remember reading somewhere that losing your capitol would have grave consequences for the humans. Not sure if that applies to the aliens. Was anoying though when I first started playing.........trying to capture a capitol only to have the dang thing move to another system next to it.
*sigh* my fault for perpetuating it. :notsure: To CM, DF, and everyone else (including me).......SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!! yeesh
Much as I love this site....I read the first several posts and am annoyed. This should not be a place for virtual bitch slapping of each other. I like talking about this or any other game (GC most though). I like reading other people's posts about this game. I don't like reading a cat fight between two guys who probably got beat up a lot in high school. And for the record--the new patch is not as easy as the last (1.02) to find. I haven't really searched for it yet, however. <br
THANKS ALL!!! :D
bb413- that would only add extra cheese
After beating normal the first time I decided to hike the AI level all the way up for my next game. Just for kicks. A little into the game I was crying so hard I shorted out my keyboard :notsure:
at least I'm not the only one :) this game has it's share of bugs....but no where NEAR as much as MOO3. Geez that game pisses me off. Thank God and his holy tea cup for this game!!!
really? where?? :notsure:
Here's some more How about an evasion bonus for scouts, freighters, and fighters? Wouldn't smaller ships be quite a bit more agile then the larger lumbering ones? Maybe give them a chance to avoid being destroyed so they could scadadle.
I've been doodleing around here now for a bit and for the life of me can't figure out how to submit my score (:(
Well now I know why nobody ever picked on me :notsure:
I'ld like to have cloaked sensor drones.
Thrull- Hmm....thoughts thoughts.....well I think my first thought is that you're smarter than I am! :D I like your ideas a lot. Especially for unused military production. I'm assuming that, with slow shifting percentages, this would keep races from immediately dumping whatever they were doing to get a quick bonus when they see a transport on their door step? How about also letting unused social production go towards influencing a neighboring alien system in the s
is it wrong to have too many T-Stars?
Thrull- oops...didn't read your post till after I did mine :) I posted in the "suggestions" thread and then came here. I like your ideas more I think ;) Maybe have a mingling of the two ideas?
I wrote this in another thread..... "Idle Factories Debate" Economics show that something needs to be created for consumers to "consume" :) A factory doing nothing is a factory doing nothing. Social factories would have the option to create trade goods for a small fee. Create a small cash flow that way. A little...not a lot. Military factories would be able to create spare parts and such for fleet maintenance. Thereby reducing fleet costs some. Again a li
ok....umm....I'm stupid :p
ok....I put a post on here and it vanished:( here it is again. "Idle Factories Debate"-- a factory doing nothing is a factory doing nothing. Social factories would have the ability to create trade goods for a small fee. Generate cash flow that way. A little, not a lot. Military factories should have the ability to create spare parts and such for fleet maintenance....that would bring down fleet maintenance fees down some. Again a little, not a lot.
I've also read a few posts about the "idle factories" debate. I also don't believe they should just generate money. Economics shows that you have to build SOMETHING and then sell it to make money. A factory doing nothing is a factory doing nothing. Here's my (humble) solution.... Social factories should have the ability to create trade goods for a small fee. Create a small cash flow that way. But not a lot. Military factories should have the ability to create ex
me again..... How about a list somewhere of what wonder's you've built?
Hey all.....relatively new so if I repeat anything don't hate :) Oh....and thank GOD for GC! How about auto-scout? Or asign waypoints? Have the scout ship scan a sector then move on to the next. At least recieve notification that the scout is done with a sector.....it's annoying to lose track for a few turns only to find your scouts have been going in circles the whole time. Also noticed a problem (bug) with grouped ships. Especially if I group them with a Terror Star.
