how do I switch formats?
Hey Ray.....tried to upload....everything was in the wrong format. Pic has to be JPG but GalCiv Writer requires PCX. Are you willing to hold my hand on this one? :notsure:
I've written a mod....I think.....Followed instructions on GalCiv Writer and the files have been "written". Now what do I do? Is it in the game now? And how do I post them here?
Thanx Ray!!!
yeah yeah....what Ray said....he's so smart...and pretty.... If ya can't beat 'em...might as well be their lap dog :D
how much programming know-how does one need to possess to attempt to create an event? I think I have some great ideas but not sure if I have the ability to get them further than my head.
yeah, I thought that. I was just hoping someone would tell me that "it's not right and it's unfair and it shoulda been you." by the by...I'm highly impressed that you (my new god) answered so quickly and at this time of night :D
and again it's the Drengin..... can someone please explain to me how in 4 turns the Drengin colonized a class 15 planet and turned it into a class 28? Ever since the upgrade I've noticed the Drengin are getting some increasingly great luck. Maybe it's always been like that and I'm just now noticing it. Oh well...I feel better about it now that I've whined about it :p
Well dangin. If any civ should get a hundred corvettes it should be MINE!! I don't want to actually WORK for my win :)
um...has anyone else experienced a civ getting a precurser event giving them like four stacked rows of ships?
playing small galaxy. Amassed a fleet and strolled on over to take out last civ (Drengin). They miraculasly survive my four Battlehammers with their one. OK...fine...make bigger fleet. Stroll on back over. In four turns they get a Precurser event (found spacecraft..corvette class). Sixth turn I'm back knocking on their door and I see no less than 4 rows of stacked corvettes attack my fleet. They only had two planets the whole game and I took one a while back. What gives? Does anyone kno
anyone, by any chance, have any idea when the patch for the xpack will be out? Has it been discussed?
Course, Wittman...... when you download the new xpack you may find out you now have new and improved ways to crash the game ;)
I've been coming across same thing as everyone else. How do I fix it?
sorry for the long respond time Frogboy....I started the games from fresh. It happened again. I un-installed then re-installed everything. Same problem :( I don't think any action I'm taking is causing the problem :notsure:
um......three times now while playing the game it kicked me out. Have had to completely restart GalCiv each time :notsure:
I got it I got it!! I'm sorry. I'm stupid. I'm blind. It was there all along. Had to open my eyes.
I got it.....been roaming around in it. Just can't find it. Will you please hold my hand and tell me exactly where it's located? I'm going nuts....it's like someone put a steak in front of me and then took it away. I can smell it....hear people talk about it....but I can't get it. AAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH
ok....I've looked and looked and looked. Can't find v1.10....only see v1.05 (:( Please please please somebody take pity on this poor soul
um.....where do I download it from? I'm not seeing it (:(
gotta make wichever empire you're looking at like you. Trade with them. Give them things.....whisper sweet nothings in their ear. There may be a better way than mine....but I usually start giving them things....like old ships or technology. You'll see your relations improve. Once it gets to Friendly (I think) and you've researched Alliances then you'll see an option to create an alliance.
oohhhh.......well son of a ----- I have SDC. So I just need to find the game and download it?
Where in the world can I find the 1.03 patch? Right now I'm willing to be treated as an embicile (I'm SUPPOSED to be intelligent ;p ) just so long as someone goes step by step through the process of getting this ever so elusive patch! :sniff!: LOL
I just wanted to second what Magnus has said. This game was already great and your devotion and interaction with players have made it a truly novel experience. All developers should take a page from your book! ---i can't stop gushing about this game---
