My friggin CD key doesn't work and tech support won't help me! in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Well I bought GalCiv today at an EB and the install using the CD key on the jewel case went just fine. I tried to log in to www.GalCiv.com to get the update and bonus content and the web site won't recognize my CD key. I called strategy first tech support and they told me that my CD key is unusual (i.e. contains a lower case "L") because the keys are supposed to be all upper case. They say they can't help me and referred me to this forum. I've enter the CD key
