[quote]Quality of Life Some of the problems of playing in real time can be easily rectified by changes that are most likely already in the pipeline. Here are some examples: Better hotkeys - the recent old-school RTS Grey Goo has a neat way of using a tree of hotkeys to make a selection, so you don't have to move your hand around but instead can just memorize a few combinations to make a selection. A system like that would let you easily have convenient hotkeys

Price is subjective. If that is a deciding factor for you, start putting $5 a month into a jar somewhere. I look at it as me taking an informed risk on a product that may or may not ever ship, but is complete enough to have a good 10+ hours of fun with. And as a perk I get to give some feedback to developers who actually want to hear it!
This as simple as Start Steam client, Games, Activate a Product on Steam, paste in the key from the StarDock store page or is something extra required due to the Early Access?
Not having played yet, it seems to me there could be a simple "sandbox" mode where you would simply disable the buying and selling of stock, preventing the game from ever ending yet having everything else work. Obviously this would cause some AI silliness as well as put a serious strain on all math and UI design elements as the numbers continued to grow. Seems like a good stress test!
