the first part of rudolph the red nosed reindeer made my niece cry. plus, your friend has a point. rudolph gets rejected by EVERYONE: friends, family, even santa is upset with him merely because he has a red nose. only the other loners and outcasts befriend him. but as soon as he proves useful THEN the other reindeer want to be friends with him. now the mad tv rudolph/godfather claymation paraody version... rudolph gets rejected, meets up with the other guys, then he builds up

-------------------------------------- So what do you want? Do you want the US to be involved in yet another war while trying to free Taiwan, when we already have to deal with the war happening right now? -------------------------------------- aside from the fact that taiwan is a major us trading partner, if another democratic nation is threatened do you feel we should not fight to help them?

ah, the joys of never having seen the original series... spoilers . . . . . spoilers fool . . . it was entertaining. a few touches i liked: where else do you see a story where a baby gets its neck snapped? freaky... i was expecting the scientist guy to pull a switcheroo with the lottery number. anyone want to go into conspiracy theories and shout-outs as to why they choose the president to be number 43 in line of succession,

"I tallied killing my own teammate 4 times in the 12 hour marathon and being killed by teammates 7 times. [over 12 hours]" i'd consider killing people in real life for that kind of tk/hour ratio on a public server ;) i also assume the number of "drop flashbang at spawn point" and "guy with bomb charging into center of mass of ct team" incidents was also pretty low...

Reservists and citizen-soldiers stand ready, in every free nation, to stand to the colors and die in holocaust, the big war. Reservists and citizen-soldiers remain utterly reluctant to stand and die in anything less...The man who will go where his colors go, without asking, who will fight a phantom foe in jungle and mountain range, without counting, and who will suffer and die in the midst of incredible hardship, without complaint, is still what he has always been, from Imperial Rome to scept

that sucks man. but it is better than the following: "I walk into the house and my ring is on the couch, looking as if it's been through the ringer. On a Sunday, that's not good. Before I could say hello, it speaks: 'I lost the wife!'"...

dang, forgot to discuss the first paragraphs: regardless of whether south korea's army is a match for north korea's or not you fail to note some very important facts. seoul is not only the capital, but the economic and population center of south korea. it is also within artillery range of north korea. in the first minutes of a war, north korea could...no, would, kill thousand of of civilians. there is no way the us or south korea could possibly get all the massed artille

what do you expect to happen 'If the US continues to flaunt its “only super power” status'? the liberal democracies to fight amongst themselves? brit and french troops occupying the east coast? the nova scotia missile crisis? the only that will happen is if the us actually invades innocent countries (general guideline: if the country is run by a dictator who has killed millions of innocent people, it's not that innocent a country. nor if the country is hiding terrorists that killed thou

calc is cool once you understand it. gets a beauty all its own when you figure out how a position equation becomes a velocity equation becomes an acceleration equation and why the constant at the end doesn't matter at all. for a brief instant you can see how a small part of the universe works. being able to understand why x and delta x are different but related, to know what "rate of change" actually means is a great feeling.

i forgot the exact reason my teacher said, but it is close to what you said. it's used with people you're very familiar with. probably like yes and yeah: but mean the same thing but you use one more often with friends than strangers.

did public executions stop crime in the past? i am pretty sure they didn't. i think most murders are spur of the moment non-rational actions (not 100% sure that's right). theoretically if people considered the consequences of their actions properly all the time, they wouldn't commit crimes at all because of the risk of prison. and given chris rock's description of an hbo special on prison, i don't think it's a very pleasant place: "havin' your salad tossed means [you can look it up onl

"They become aggressive, totally devoid of empathy, manipulative, emotionally needy to the point of demanding attention at all times." people get aggressive online because they know no one can punch them in the face online. :) the main online forum i go to is moderated well: the mods give users plenty of chances but if they consistently bait or attack people they are gone. people who are disagree but not abusively so are still kept around.

-------------------- Reply By: Messy Buu Posted: Thursday, November 20, 2003 I think a major reason why "drones" make so much less than the "puppet masters" is that the drones are expendable, and can probably be replaced by robots, whereas the puppet masters aren't. Anybody can work a register at McDonald's, but how many people could orchestrate the business competently? -------------------- everyone can agree there is some "movie star effect" in corporations: you can

Reply By: Draginol: ---------------- ezp: So who defines suprlus income and bare minium? You? ---------------- you can sorta figure out a general guideline. basic food, water, shelter, clothes tend to be non-optional items. hence, his example of "150K from 300K is quite different from taking 2K from 15K". most people can survive on 150k, at 13k, things might get iffy.
