What do you guys think about defense? Will the AI attack you if you only have colonies pumped out to the far reaches of the galaxy? It takes a little while before they can get transport tech, right?
Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between sentry, guard, auto-attack and the other commands that I can give my defensive ships?

Quick question, I really can't wait to get the game, but do not want to install winblinds or any of the windows shell stuff. Is stardock central something like that? Will I be missing out on a lot of the game if I don't install it? Can I choose not to install it? Guess I'm just a bit curious about the packaging of the game and metaverse as it comes from a shell enhancement company. Can I avoid the latter for the former? Nothing against, but I'm one of those slim desktop/no back
