I know commenting on an old discussion is kind of nuts, but the top post is listed as a blog post and the first thing when searching for Impulse from the stardock homepage. I saw some sad GalCiv IV reviews and decided to go back to the beginning (well, as close as I could get) and found what the OP did. No joy with the GameStop app. I was happy and surprised to see that Stardock has the original Impulse (well, Drengin for GC2) game files AND product keys available

Had to reply to Lifewish's comments. I have the same good feelings about GalCiv. Used to play Entrepreneur back in the day, that was the first time I had heard of StarDock, but even then the talk was about Galciv. With a release date, my order has been in at Amazon since I knew it was available for pre-order). I have been generally depressed by strategy games put out by the big boys for a while but have been impressed by industry vets that have gone the independant route in the last few years. W
