Thats completely understandable. Perhaps a viable limitation is you can only have 1 claim drone at a time? Everything after gets queued up. Alot of the time players are building steel/etc next to their building anyway. Even on rare resources the ideal claims are usually scattered across the map so it would take time to process and claim all of them if the player wanted to claim the few high resources, unless founding next to them. As long as upgrading to level 2 is mostly steel/alum/

level 5 isn't a requirement. Often you can buy someone out who rushed for level 5 by staying at level 3. I think shifting the claims makes sense.I don't know offhand what the claims given at each level is, but for example, upgrading to level 4 im like... only 2 claims for all that steel/glass :(

As a scientific main, who was claiming for a while that scientific is better, I suspect that expansive is without a doubt better now because of the ability to upgrade so fast. Scientific was good because you can hit the crucial researches so fast, and power was a very valuable commodity early game. Being behind didnt matter, because scientific went for midgame profit taking from extremely efficient claim usage, not rushing to level 5. Dual solar + superconductor was a huge cash cow and scient

Unfortunately, I feared this was going to be the case when I read the patch notes. Thanks for taking the time to write it out. The numbers look right. The claim difference between level 1 and level 2 is too high. I never really minded being short a claim on VP at the start since you still hit level 2 with ease. Hated CEO for the same reason since you get 1 claim (2 with the founding late bonus) and only needed to make a little money to get going. I haven't played the new
I'd also like to be able to use 4x power to produce 2x as much. I'd like power to be more versatile.
This sounds like a colony trait :) Oh the fun I could have...
Huh. I didn't realize shares transferred in a buyout. I'm not very observant I guess. That adds some information on who I should buyout first, doesn't it.
To be fair, it has changed a few times.
I'm sure dev team is aware of this strategy now... 2 mil in 20 mins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z2Z_hi8-m4 I dont know if its fair to say that this breaks the game as it sits... but it does appear to be unbeatable. The strategy is sound, simple, and quite elegant. Keep your money working and use the array for double/triple shorts. I

Agreed. I'd like to do some post game chat sometimes. I suspect a some people don't even know how to chat in game. Rarely see any discussion during the game :( Also, hit me up on steam (indczn). I'll play some games with you (when i'm around) and discuss them afterwards!

I suspect having the debt paid off to upgrade would make highly likely to stagnate since its not uncommon for the steel/alum/iron and worse, carbon for scav to not be worth anything. Also, forcing debt to be paid off is weird since debt is generally used to provide for faster growth in the real world. If you can't have debt at all, the same would apply. How would you break out of a death spiral where power/life support is costly? You cant run buildings because power is 400. You ca

Part of the problem is even if you go non-standard (no steel/alum) opening and just delay upgrading, you still need steel/alum to build anything other than power. Then you have the whole issue of claims. You need claims, so you have to upgrade soon. Sometimes you get 1 or 2 on the black market instead, but that only delays the need for a short while.I think changing scrapping to return some resource will help too, since you won't necessarily get stuck into a line . It might open up the po

There is most certainly risk. I've lost 100k buying into coming shortages when someone happened dumped their entire stock of resources during a Laggy moment since theirs sales apparently processed first once the game caught up. Its not hard to do properly but the process isn't infallible.
