[quote who="Soren_Johnson" reply="2" id="3494202"] Thanks for the feedback. Geotherms are supposed to work a little differently from the rest of the game. They aren't a "resource" per se, so Slant Drilling doesn't apply to them. Similarly, we tried to help new players not make a bad early move by disallowing any other type of building besides a Geothermal Power Plant. We have been thinking of changing the Offworld Market to a rail gun system, actually, as recommended b

General tips and suggestions for new players. General Play: - After playing the tutorials, consider sticking with 1 colony type while you become comfortable with the mechanics. Each type plays different enough from the others that switching among them can create additional confusion - Learn the resource flow: Consumption and the Building/upgrade costs. What will you/opponents need to produce/buy to get what you want? - Observe opponents. The AI does provide a g
3) Yes and no. Part of it is that growing is necessary, so getting past colony size 1 and 2 are a bit dictated. It's a bit more varied on higher handicaps, where you don't have the luxury of getting everything you need. Around colony size 3 and 4 is where you really get into the game where you determine how you want to win. So far, I've had success with many different styles, but a lot of the challenge is recognizing whats in play and how to take advantage of it. 3I)
FYI Shift click sells 100 and control click sells 1 unit. Life support (oxygen, food, water) consume resources. If you don't have enough, they get bought automatically at the prevailing price. Each tutorial adds more mechanics.

Theres several of us around that are usually willing to play multiplayer. The resource pricing seems pretty good. If too much is being used, the ma
Before I start making threads, Is anything going to be copied over from the old forums or the basic feedback/bugs/etc subforums going to be created?
Ooh Shiny! *waves*
I doubt I can be too specific here, but follow the directions in the email with the steam key, once that first part is activated, there are instructions available to enable the game in steam.
I like the sounds of the rule set so far and can't wait to begin playing. I assume the tiles are the game board sections, and a claim is where the player takes control of the tile, similar to the gold rush when miners would take control (stake claim) of a section of river where they thought they would find gold, and would have rights to the section, as long as they continued panning. Same Here. Burned out on other games and would like more info on this one.
