MUCH better than prev. beta...impressive! Now let's see what the skin designers can do with the new capabilities! A note - 1 small problem I have is that the 2 checkboxes at the bottom of the wbconfig troubleshooting section...I can/t read them!(just black stripes)..I wonder what they say...? Did the same as post #45...works now, but glow effects are not present, ALL kinds of border and button draw problems....IE windows have min/max buttons, but windows explorer doesn't...wbconfig troubleshooting gives same message as others prev. posted...might have to wait on v5 a bit to see if later betas work better...but as someone else said it IS a beta!this is how we all help improve it!

Slightly diff problem here...wbconfig won't even start...errors out and gives me classic theme..boooo! P4 1.6 ghz, ati radeon 9700 running 2 monitors...happened upon prompt reboot, and every time I try to apply skins...wbconfig won't load, and display properties just gives me classic theme...cant do WB troubleshooting because wbconfig won't load, so no other info available... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/SadAngry.gif" border=0 AL

I like GhoS's suggestion...why not just limit the free downloads on the site?...been a longtime subscriber, & will continue to do so...and re: Lady Aarielle...i have VERY few errors or problems - Stardock has increased it's speed on the site noticeably...If i have an irk with stardock, it's that they always seem to space new version releases at times that fall between my renewal times...AAARRRGGGHHH!!! But hey, I love the site and products,

WooHoo!! Problem is solved!!! I had apparently told SDC to archive backup files to my D drive (what was I thinking?!?!?)...you guys got me looking in obscure folders that i would never have thought of...copied the files to C drive, dragged mcp into startup, a quick reboot and all is well! Thanks to all of you for your help...you DID help! This ends this thread!

fairyy...good pointer, but no luck...the file just is not there...nbot sure how i lost it though...i'm thinking iconpackager 3 may be the culprit instead of dx3...lost all my shell icons at the same time, but managed to get them back, but this has me stumped!

Well, we're on to something here...can not find either file anywhere on HD...any ideas on how i might go about getting them back? Sadly, i'm not a big archiver, so i rarely back up anything...doh!!!

Still having same problems...sdmcp IS 2.10.343 build 95...there is no "(AFAIK!)" at the end though...everything else works just fine...as far as i can tell, SDC is up to date...I do have registered versions of all apps.

since dx3, i have not been able to use any object desktop app systray...i always get "Stardock MCP not found or wrong version. Systray support disabled."error window... i only get this message through desktop x, but objectdock, objectbar, rightclick, and dx are all affected...how does one go about getting a "correct" version of mcp?

Not sure if it is something i have done or not, but DX3 will not let me use ANY text based perf mon 2 meters...automatically changes all to big red/green meters...even with previously used themes and whatnot...?
