Any chance for a high level changelog? I understand we'd be doing general stability/regression testing but is there anything in particular we should pay attention to as updated?
This idea has potential, as long as its not tied directly to the offworld launch. Could be a nice addition to the campaign.
Yeah, could potentially even just be contracts The Colony is looking for so you wouldn't necessarily need to build an offworld market to claim them.
Agreed, make sure you aren't letting that dictate your decisions in game. Further reading from lifehack on the sunk cost fallac y
Good luck! I hope to have the time to get in the next one... give me a chance to practice a bit more, though.
Nice... Offworld: Ticket to Ride edition?
"Save Humanity. Turn a profit. Preferably Both." makes me wonder if there might be an alternate victory mechanic available to emphasize the Save Humanity part. At game begin you're presented with 3 contracts to pick 1 or 3 of. Each contract has a Goal (such as ship 500 water and 200 food or maybe 200 electronics) and contract value (such as 200,000). The idea is nearby colonies on mars, space stations, maybe earth itself is in need of specific supplies to grow, avoid threats, or recover f
As far as the price... I think the best bet would be to have a 4-pack price discount. You'd still maintain the price point as is, but for those of us who would like to bring a few friends with us, it might be nice to pay $100 something for a 4-pack.
Glad to see some of the improvements that have been in the livestreams make it to the patch! Can't wait to crack this open.
The situational awareness type information I'm seeking midgame that some UI improvements might help include (and maybe I'm just missing them?) -Total number of / taken plots of each resource. Perhaps some place to mouse over the resource and get an idea that there's 8/12 Silicon plots on the map similarly to how you might see at the scanning phase -Micro-historical stock prices, maybe mousing over the price for a resource gave you a little simple trending line or s
Lots of good feedback! Until the patch changed the text, I hadn't realized I wasn't playing with the "Let's not forget the random resources/claims that arrive spontaneously" turned off. Eager to continue to see how this goes, glad to hear of some good experiences with catch-up under the right circumstances. Enjoying this game more and more.
Great game so far, really enjoying the early access. For those of you playing for longer than the steam early access, how do you see runaway leaders as a problem? The positive feedback of thrusting yourself forward especially in terms of additional plots seems to rally some early successes forward. While often it's two players that are rushing ahead, I can't help but feel like sometimes if you're in last in the early game you just don't have much chance to catch up. Ca
I prefer leaving the sound on when I alt+tab. Music in the menus is nice to leave on while I'm waiting around for a friend to come online or something (less jarring than turning off) and in game I could see a benefit to tab to check an incoming message or something but still hear any of the in-game notifications. So, ideal would definitely be an option in the menu.
