I bought mine on the Impule weekend sales and I am using Vista home edition. It starts up and then a Vista window opens to say the application has stopped working. I've re-booted and get the same error. I really wanted to try this out. Any ideas?

I wish I had never trialled Icon Packager. I was on day 1 of the trial install from download.com I reset to default iconstwice to make sure. After my reboot all my program icons on the desktop, quick launch, start menu and in explorer have the default white sheet of paper. I could not find a single way to uninstall as it was not showing in Your Uninstaller nor in Add/Remove programs. I read the above fix so I installed again on top of the current install in case it was faulty. Again I made su

This is the most interesting thread and came up #1 in a Google search. I installed Bootskin, selected one that comes with it then powered down. Later I powered on and my startup would not continue. I got the very same message : "\Windows\System32\Drivers\vidstub.sys is corrupt or missing. Error code 0x0000229." Everyone suggests deleting vidstub. sys but what is that driver? Will Bootskin fail without it. I'm guessing it is not a Microsoft file? I just hate deleting something b

Thanks everyone. I must say I was wondering where to plug in my serial as well. When I installed it automatically uninstalled the eval and then installed the download in my email so I figured maybe the serial is unimportant since all the features work. I wonder why they do not have a help button?

Super! Working in red is very hard because it wants to dominate. You have kept the cany cane very fine and it is recognizable without dominating. The shadow of holly makes for a very sublte touch. I am loving this! I don't like bold blaring and obvious. Your sublety gives this a refined and polished look.

I am loving this!! I especially like the active title bar. Never been done to my mind. I like everything as it is even the background which I recognize. I don't know which tickles me more - seeing the development or reading about it. Thanks for sharing.

On the contrary I think you have done a major amount of work. The hardest part is deciding and you have mapped out all that. You know what you want and don't want. That takes many people (me) a very long time and sometimes we waffle back and forth wasting more time. Good for you on no more screen shots. Our comments on specifics will be distracting for you. Glad you kept the blue wallpaper.

What a great idea for a blog! I feel so lucky to have stumbled accross this article. I just joined JoeUser today! OK so I am going to watch this topic and catch up on the parts I have missed. Congratulations in having the foresight to document as you go. There is no better tool than communication.

Got so busy talking about my problems I forgot to tell you I think Joeuser has a slick fast loading interface. I like the colors and Joe's Top lists on the right. Oh! and I wanted to edit my typo in my last comment. How do I do that?

Hmmm I just signed up so never saw the old site. This site is a wee bit hard to understand. I got confused over articles instead of posts and why some of mine were on the "My Articles" list and others were not. Also I saw a Favorites tab but it was a bunch of names I did not know. Cama accross an interesting blogger - Draginol - but was unable to figure out how to add the name to my favorites and clear out the resident names. Mostly I spent 20-30 minutes trying to see if th

These two newspaper magazines were subscribed by me through work. I used to keep myself pretty up to date and interested with them. Now however the subscription stacks up in the corner unread. Sometimes I feel really guilty and take a handful of them to coffee to highlight the worthwhile articles to read. I get bored just reading the headlines. I am an IT manager but I WOULD like to read about something more than ecenomic bottom lines or costs trends. I love PC's not money. I am really

I am thinking now that my first article is only for me to read so I will now have three articles there under "My articles" and under my Home or Lady Athena's articles I will see 2 only since there are the ones I opened up to everyoe and catagorized in "Blogging". Maybe I will figure this out on my own? Again!

It is a little confused here according to what is a new post or article or what is the blog. I have 2 posts and yet none show on Athena's articles but they do on "My Articles"??? What's up?

I have not quite decided what I will write here but a new area and free of charge to blog is therapeutic for me. Time to explore what I can do here and link it to my new vistas opening in learning graphics.
