I agree with Chas. Aside from the admins, no one here at the forum or the skinning community can review a design and give some input or suggestion that will make the design acceptable, especially after that design was declined. If an author has made a design and needs some sort of critique before uploading, then as Pictoratus suggested, it will be a good idea to seek this type of opinion via email from artists that you think can give you the best advice. Keep in mind that no matter what sugg
Thankx for this post Grayhaze. This topic has really gotten 'old' and so very frequent. Hopefully people will read this before they start a thread asking 'Why was my wallpaper rejected?'
Now now China, we all know Craptastic is not a word
There you go Yrag, that will be $1.00, thank you

Yes, it is true that at one time the site didn’t nor had the need of capping downloads, but as the site grew and became a little expensive to maintain this method was acquire. Now, as a person with sense, if you was to give out things for free counting on just a few items to just a few people it would not harm you, not until those few items become a lot of items and those few people become a couple of hundred thousand, then you will stop the free stuff and find the need to compensate your work a
Tsk, tsk, tsk..... shame on you China. Now go to your room >
Im trully sorry to hear that Jarget. I know how difficult it must be as I have also lost loved ones to cancer. My prayer are with you and your loved ones.
i made a comment and a request Yes, you made a comment that to me makes no sense and a request that it's near impossible. You requested to remove the caps on downloads which will allowed you and the rest of people that just want things for free to keep leeching off the site, yet you expect 'US' the people that contribute financially and with our

Yrag, that will be a $1.00 for that popcorn > Hmmm, Jafo gave me an idea, maybe a popcorn bag with the XP logo on it. [Message Edited]
OK, so what if we the skinners decide to cap our work to maybe 2 skins a year? Will that be ok with the people that want to download with out any sort of contribution back to the site? Trial versions and caps on download amount were made for the sole purpose of giving the users a sample of what is available. Once you try it you can make a decision. If you like the product then it's only fair that you purchase it, if you feel that the product does not satisfy your needs, then you can always u
Just like Sput, I was 1st introduced to computer graphics in the early 80's. My 1st PC was a Timex Sinclaire, but I jumped quickly to the Commodore 64 because it had colors But I really didn’t get deep into it until the early 90's when I attended MTI for Mechanical Drafting and Design. Back then all I did was turn class projects into wallpapers. My first brush with skinning came when my girl showed me th
Very good point Moshi.
LMAO @ Yrag
Who is this Jafo I keep hearing about.....? Don’t pay mind to him, he is a figment of everyone’s imagination, implanted here at WinCustomize by the owner of StarDock to make sure we behave as inhumanly as possible within the limits of tolerance. He is part of a pack but he is usually a loner rebel. <img src="http://images.stardock
Aside from the fact that both skins have similarities to other skin styles and judging just these two skins, after downloading them (for comparison purpose) and looking at the images, I must conclude that a lot of the images used in the PearlBlue skin are indeed a copy of the images used in the M3 skin without any modification other than re-coloring. In such case and passing judgment on only these two skins, the author of the PearlBlue skin made use of the images without permission or credit to
1) The esiest way to create a SysMetrix skin is to start from scratch rather than from an existing skin. Right click on the SysMetix, then click on SysMetrix Configuration . When the window opens, click on Theme Settings from the left menu. Then click on the Create New Theme button and start from there. If you already made a skin using a existing file, follow the same steps, only this time instead of clicking Create New Theme, just replace the author's information. 2
Why does Jafo gets to have all the fun? >
Not even close Stumpy. You need experience with glue, paper and a 24" putty spatula
