You're welcome. 😊

I assume so. What do you think was the cause of my issue?
Anyway, after reinstalling Deskscapes 2026, and rebooting, I was able to not only change the background image, I was able to work with Fences without any issues. </s
When I uninstalled Deskscapes 2026, it also uninstalled Deskscapes 11. I'll re-install Deskscapes 2026, but can I also re-install Deskscapes 11 as well? <
I uninstalled Stardock Deskscapes, rebooted, and I can now change my background image. I can also
I did what you asked. Here's the result: For some odd reason, I can't seem to change my background image, but as a test, I tried it on my other Windows 11 laptop, and it changed the image without any hiccup at all.
Here's what I've done: Disabled Fences from Startup. Rebooted. Background image showed up for a sec, and then this popped up. Fences is still disabled though.
ESET Internet Security is my anti-virus used currently. However, it's also used on my other 2 computers without any issues.
I installed Purge, rebooted, and then installed Fences from the Stardock page -- trial version. I then installed it, and then signed in with my user name and password. I then got this error message: I'm stumped, and I'm going to call it a night. I'll try again in the morning, before I have to get ready f
Here's the view when it comes to Fences disabled: And here's the view enabled:
The issues happened right when I upgraded Fences. I haven't installed anything else outside of the Microsoft Patch Tuesday stuff. I have Fences on both my other Windows 11 Pro laptop and a Win 10 Pro laptop still supported by MS. No issues, except for my one with the problems right now.
I disabled Fences, but the weird stuff is still going on. As far as the other thing, I uploaded my issues to Stardock per the instructions from the sofftware.
Fences is enabled in Startup settings.
I uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed, but my settings are still scrambled and messed up. I uploaded the settings to the person mentioned above earlier. This is what my desktop looks like now.
Some additional information: I'm on Start 11 version 2.72, Object Desktop version 4.07, Windows 11 Pro version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.8655). I don't have any of my previous set Fences settings working at all, and I'm frustrated.
There are some issues with the Object Desktop Manager program and showing updates properly. There will be addressed as soon as possible Paul Scroggins Associate Technical Support Analyst
Thank you for your response to my issue.
I'm supposed to be able to update my version of Start11. However, after I reboot my laptop, Object Desktop states that an update is available. I'm on Windows 11 Pro, version 22H2. For the record, I had a similar issue with WindowBlinds 11, so I uninstalled that app.
FYI that is not auto enabled with windows 10, that has to be manually turned on. It's possible that your antivirus turned it on, as it's one of many ways to stop ransonware from infecting your pc.
Thank you for the info on Controlled Access Folder. Nice to have good knowledge from other people. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
I found out what was the issue. The "Controlled Access Folder" in Windows 10 Pro was blocking any changes to any protected folder, and that included any Stardock folders. When I turned it off, I was allowed to update Start10, and any other Stardock program (I made sure to turn it back on for security reasons.) <img s
Update: Shut KeyScrambler completely down, and tried to re-install the update to Start10. Same results, with the same error messages that I'm posting in this reply.
Quoting klane11, reply 26 I've used it for years without any interference with any Stardock program. Well, if it is popping up when you are getting the error, I would like to temporarily shut it down to see if there in is the cause. Sean
