You have a point aow, endless, m&m, and ect really are a competing force. aow3 is prolly gonna just win, but m&m is a ubisoft title and they are pushing the game out for money, don't worry about that pile of junk only thing that's gonna save it would be the devs.
m&m = explore / adventure endless = exploit / i dont understand what people see in these games<

two words.. Eastern Europe as far as i can tell at least half of the fantastic strategy game playing demographic is Eastern European. my original trolling around strategy game boards regarding fe instigated many conversations and received thousands of views.. although now the genre is much more saturated than it was then, and in the face of aow, endless, m&m, and kings bounty, i really think sd needs to distinguish
More victory conditions are cool. I like the idea that there could be conditions which are only available to certain sovereigns, however I think it could work even better if it reflected how you'd been roleplaying. So in other words, there would be extra conditions which only become available if you've got a high Wisdom: follow a quest which allows you to work out a way to nullify the SK's spell.
One suggestion; in addition to stamina bonuses from defense, how about a bonus for units that do not move on the strategic map during a turn....this would represent a rested army/unit; also possibly a penalty for units moving multiple consecutive turns on the strategic map (representing fatigue).
cool idea!
I was not sucked into this game by the marketing I bought it cause of fallen enchantress. *snip * People need a reason to drop 40 bucks on this game and the only thing that is gonna ensure them to at least try it is to let people know how you came from elemental to fallen enchantress take pride in the fact you over came a hardship that company's like EA or Ubisoft would have never done. People are mad at AAA titles.
There will be a LOT more types of resources (like 3X as many) which will feed into crafting, trading.
this^ will be great. also, i really think the game(s +lh) would benefit greatly from having re-visitable locations around the world... persistent places on the map - that grant boons (enchantments that last x amount of time), or teleporters, or shops, etc. so the life of
3) 4X strategy is my favorite genre, but I think that I am more of a role-player than a strategy gamer. For me, a 4X isn’t so much about the thrill of out-thinking and out-maneuvering my opponents as it is building an epic empire from humble beginnings. Because of this I tend to enjoy games with distinct factions that play in different and interesting ways. I very much enjoy Venice in Civ V and the undead in Legendary Heroes. I also

having played the game just pretending these victory conditions are possible i can attest to how much more fun it is to play, and enticing to reload. as the wizard i visualize a spell in my spell book at the very beginning of the game that reads: "Wannabe-god-be-gone - some ridiculously high mana cost". i have but a small fraction of the mana required for this game winning spell, but i do have enough for some of these other cheaper spells... however now every cast (and item e

ive been thinking about this game a lot. playing it, playing other similar games, and then thinking about it some more. ive had this feeling like something was missing.. that the 4x and asymmetrical(rpg) aspects of the game weren't entirely integrated, and subsequently were suffering a rocky honeymoon. for some reason i wasn't drawn back to the game like i expected; but i was determined to find out why. after many games, many weeks, and much pondering i final
