Hi. Has any work been made to fix the issues I last reported still exist in Fences 4? I have a new PC and Windows installation, and I'm wondering if I should install Fences. I wonder if Stardock could give us a general estimate of when Fences v4 might come. I haven't used Fences 3 in a long time due to certain bugs I've reported in this forum before that render Fences' intended purpose (desktop organization) unattainable. I'm hoping that those bugs will be fixed in the next version of Fences. And as I have a huge number of desktop icons, I can really uses a good desktop organizer. But right now, I'm just using Windows in its default state.

My wish-list for Fences 4 includes these following 3 bug fixes and 1 feature request: 1. I'd like Fences to remember icons positions on the desktop when switching resolutions. Windows 10 already does this by default, but after installing Fences this ability disappears and each time the resolution is switched the desktop icons become messed-up and all over the place. Maybe the naming issue is fixed, I don't know. But, from what I recall, I was still having the issue with desktop icons not moving properly the last time I was using Fences, which was about 1 month ago. I'm not sure what version of Fences 3 I was on then, but I think I had it set to auto-update. I haven't yet installed Fences on my new installation of Windows 10 due to multiple serious bugs that haven't been fixed despite being reported long ago. This issue being one of them.

Thanks, AzDude. It just happened again after using a program that changed the desktop resolution momentarily while loading. As I said, not even icon layouts on pages that are not visible when the resolution changes are preserved. I run programs that use a variety of different resolutions, and also programs which launch in one resolution though when loaded have a different resolution, or which switch resolutions during the program while doing something like playing a video. Every time I run one of these programs, or each time I run a freshly-installed program that I haven't yet set up the resolution to match my desktop's native resolution, all the icons on each of my Fences pages go all screwed up, like this:</
