I think this will be a pretty controversial topic, but I just thought Id throw it out there and see what people thought of it on whether it would be good, bad, terrible, or any changes they think could be even better. I posted it on Stardock forums originally but there are hardly any users there so figured Id post it over here now instead. <br style="color: #dbdbdb; font-family: 'Motiva Sans', Arial

Sadly setting the properties of each planet and star in the map to ignore checks and also disabling orbiting did not fix the location issue in game. Tried a few different things and it always seems like the game wants to have enough clear space in the phase lane distance for if the star cluster were to orbit then it wouldn't collide, even though everything is disabled and the stars don't even orbit around the middle one. Looks like I am going to have to go back to the drawing board on this ma
Now to your second issue, with individual planets being misaligned. This likely happens because you have not disabled the collision check. The game tries to ensure, that every planet has such an orbit, so that planets do not collide. So even if other planets may look like they are in a perfect line, their coordinates actually change as well, it's just the human eye, which cannot see it directly.
Ah ha! This is probably my issue. I no

My idea for fixing point defense targeting: Make it so that when a ship is going to target and fire a point defense type of weapon at an incoming missile or bomber, run a check to see if anything else in the fleet already targeted that missile. This would require that the missile or bomber get a new tag variable for something like "Is_targeted" or something like that. When a weapon fires on this entity (missile or bomber) then the target has this new variable set so that other ships l

Tried posting this over on Steam discussions as I saw devs were active there but got no response, so trying here instead. No matter what I do the actual map in game shoves the two star clusters WAY out of the way. I have tried adjusting them closer in the editor 4-5 times and even tried moving all sorts of other stuff, nothing works. In game each side star is really far away, and always one of them even farther out than the other. I can make it switch whether the left o

I have never liked how small the "insane" map size is, even before Crusade. I just tried editing the MapSizeDef.xml file, but cant make a larger map. Any setting larger than 383 for HexSectorSize crashes the game. Is there any way to mod the game to make the largest map size around 500-600 hex's per side?
