I feel at the current resource level you have to expand out pretty quickly. You can only maintain a smaller force on the resources you initially start with, and is a good thing. This forces people to play in a somewhat aggressive manner since they can't turtle up in one spot the entire game. I also like that Reactive materials are not located in the seed region. This makes it impossible for people to turtle in their stating region and stand a chance in the long run. It causes players to t

I thought I would make a topic for the design and layout of the current UI and how well it works for our play styles. I posted this in my initial impressions, and will cross post it here for reading and thoughts. Feel free to criticize my thoughts, and put in your own thoughts on the UI design. The UI to me is a love/hate relationship. While I like the overall layout, it does
I actually second the idea of using the WASD keys to move the camera around. This actually helps with using hotkeys as well since you could use the surrounding keys for queuing up units. You would have roughly 8 keys to use for queuing units and other hotkey options. Not only this but it puts your battle groups within fingers reach. If you continue using the directional keys to move the camera it causes players like me to go from directional keys to the other side of the keyboard to hit my ba

Yea the Steam sale is destroying their servers and bandwidth right now. Mine downloaded pretty freaking slow...lol
This is just an initial view on where some of the features stand, and my opinion at the time. Most of these are not things I expect huge change on. I am simply stating my opinion on the current build so the team can get feedback. All of this is meant as constructive and should not be take as anything but that. Units I feel the units themselves are pretty well done. They are varied enough to allow good unit composition, while keeping the gameplay
Sweet, thanks Yarlen. Should we drop minor issues on here or submit them to support?
Aircraft that are destroyed pop instantly and do not impact the ground. I don't expect this to change much since the animations are already there, aside from the explosion missing. I do agree with what you are saying though. SupCom got extremely annoying with "Your base is under attack" every time a aircraft was shot down and crashed into something.
Have you tried turning it off and on again... Sorry, I had to. I am assuming you tried running as Administrator? i hate that you are having this issue. Hopefully it will get sorted very soon so you can play.

Is the Founders section not closed to the public?
Sounds good. I am getting ready to load it up and do some stress testing. Will let you guys know how it runs!
Out of curiosity, are we going to have a special section to discuss all the suggestions, bugs, etc. that we have/find or is it going to be open to the public?
If you are a founder you can now find your Steam key by visiting Stardock.com/games , Account, then My Downloads. Redeem the key on Steam and start downloading!!
@Frogboy To be completely honest I am glad the team is taking the approach you are. There have been countless times I have seen games ruined because the player base whines and complains until something gets implemented. I want Ashes to be its own game, and not a clone of something else I have played. With that being said, I do believe that community feedback is valuable as long as it pertains to the overall vision of the game. If you want the game to be a clone of another game
Some nice changes. Keep up the hard work!
So where are we with tournament results right now? I haven't been able to watch all the matches due to the insanity that is my work.
Hey everyone, just wanted to drop in and say something to all of our Reddit members. I am going to work on a tournament champion flair for the overall tournament winner, and possibly runner-up as well. This is not forum related for anyone wondering. Keep up the awesome games! I am loving them so far.
I enjoy Kasteel Rouge No8. It can be a little costly if you drink a lot of it, but I find it very enjoyable.
Awesome stuff. It is very difficult to not share this info on our gaming site, but I will refrain from doing so since I love you guys so much. Kinda bummed media has to wait until Early Access to open the flood gates. Thanks for the content! Really loving the teaser.
Think ask and you shall receive is an understatement at this point... Thanks for all content!! Will get to work making some cool flair for the Reddit members.
@Frogboy So we won't see much in regard to bases, defenses, etc. in the Alpha?
@Frogboy It's beyond awesome to see that the game will actually use some hardware. I have been waiting a long time for a truly massive scale RTS, and from the way you speak that may just happen. I hope you guys continue to shoot for the stars when it comes to scale. The thoughts of having a game where I can truly wage war makes me giddy. Having battles can be fun, but I want a real war!
Hi! Not just 64-bit but has the world's first (to my knowledge anyway) asynchronous multi-core scheduler so we use all your hardware to its full extent.
This is pretty awesome actually. Glad to see more of my hardware used to create this level of play.
1. If there isn't a subedit on Ashes yet, could someone make it? The nature of this game is such that we really want to be able to talk to the community a lot prior to release.
Subreddit? If that is what you are after then I made one as soon as the game was announced. If any of the devs or community guys join over there be sure to message me and I wil
