I was able to get it work eventually. I had to uninstall it. Remove it from the firewall list.. Reinstall it. Add it and STARDOCK LAUNCHER to the firewall. Then I played it in a multiplayer ranked game. Lose the game. Then sometime in the next 24-48 hours it automatically updated on Steam. After that - it worked fine.

Okay! It's working again. There was a small patch that downloaded when I woke up today.
I haven't played in a several months. The game is still listed as allowed in my firewall. But myself and another player got kicked from our multiplayer game I hosted yesterday and now the game is stuck logging into multiplayer services. The campaign mode is still very confusing. The goal would appear to be about creating stable revenue streams which you can use to buy colony improvements. Colony improvements which do not have a dynamic cost - there are no resource requirements just a flat sum of money, correct? Do colony improvements resource drains affect all players equally?
