This gives reason for Mac users to install an AntiVirus & Internet Security Suites just like the rest of us (same goes for you Linux users). In the information age, nobody is immune to malware/ID Theft. Now it's only a matter of time until hackers deviate their efforts away from Windows (somewhat) and move onto Android, iOS, and possibly even Linux.
The trouble wit

The free ZoneAlarm firwall works nicely for me along side MSE for an anti-virus (Windows Firewall turned off) and I also periodically scan with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. If that does not work for you this might help find more info: [link removed as it's pointlessly out of date - Admin]

http://www.mediafire.com/?90car2vv9j22d4d An example of what I meant by a menu can be seen in the upper right. It is label Launch and has button that generates a drop down. As to the command prompt, when it is maximized and running (being filled with text) and you minimize and restore it the console moves up the screen.

With the Start Menu you have to go through everything in All Programs. With Tiles, each tile (page) can be organized how you want it. And you can always put it on autohide for a minimal look.
Just create a menu on the taskbar and place shortcuts to apps you commonly use in that. I would say it does not meet the requirement of multi-player as you are not allowed to play the game you purchased in multi-player (as seen by its lack of tactical combat).

Anyone noticed that Impulse has started selling games that require Steam? In particular: http://www.impulsedriven.com/magicka And it says: IMPORTANT NOTICE: This game requires a 3rd party client to download, install and play. If Steam is required to download, install, and play why bother with Impulse?
Why is this the case? I want to have a different gaming "ID" as I play. Why can't we create different IDs like other games? Would be awful if, say, EA decided that all Battlefield gamers had to use only one ID name.
Because they use the same database to tracking profiles (or at least they do for now).

Can any of you apologists give me any reason why? Just to make a broken game even more painful? Why is it that this game is so painfully bad? Right now on this PC i have Medieval 2, Civ 4---yes fall from heaven, Galciv 2, Civ 5, Sins and WOW loaded. All of these are Hugely replayable and just outright fun.

Once I closed out Catalyst (ATI Radeon's standard set of tray tools), the game launched fine, and I saw no graphical menu errors. So, Radeon users note: Graphical snaffus may be caused by conflicts with the game engine and Catalyst. Try closing Catalyst. -mra
Or maybe it is a setting in Catalyst... I cant tell you how much I would love to see more sins, demigod, galciv or your next genius creation. I bought elemental, it was a huge dissappointment but I feel like i never stop paying for it because i know its eating time that could be used to develop the next fun thing. Elemental will simply never be fun.

It appears the free credit card protection will be handled through the three credit bureaus for people inside the US. They have been informed who was affected and you only need to contact them (you do not give info to Sony). This is for those interested in how it will be done, as people that were affected are being informed by email.
You seem to be talking about some kind of SotS style random tree, which is not what we're getting. We're getting a fixed tech tree with some random stuff tossed in, and since the tree can auto-connect things as added making a "no random" option is actually really easy. Either use a fixed seed so you get the same "random" tree every time (which winds up being not random by definition) or in the not-random version just enable everything.<br /

It appears games no longer get bumped up in the list when updated. Not a fan of this as that feature gave extra exposure for the games of developers/publishers that bothered to update, and anything that encourages updates is good for consumers.

I know that the folks at impulse have to load/stage updates (eg if I'm a developer and create a patch, that patch just doesn't automatically become available. Someone has to load it on the impulse side). So, it makes sense that they might have less control over how quickly an update rolls out... but that said, as all of the folks from impulse are moving over to work on impulse under the gamestop umbrella -
