ahh i see, i just tried to replicate it with building and researching exactly the same stuff and nothing untowards happened apart from the AI spamming 5 cities right next to mine and blocking me off. thanks for the reply anyway
Hi i just fired up elemental for a quick test and had just got into my 20th turn i had built up some houses and researched arcane research, mining and farming and was just about to get a 4th research in civilisation, my sov kicked open a crate and i got a message saying "this is the remains of a caravan that was on route to a distant city, and while the goods contained within are worthless the map of the city is worthwhile" or something like that and the camera tried to focus on something a w
i was in beta from quite a while back, and never had problems (apart from lag) doing multiplayer, then the game launched and i couldnt connect to anyone at all, it was getting quite miserable so i left it a day or 2 and played single player. done a few tournaments against hards and stuff, came back the next day with exactly the same setup and lo and behold i could connect to people no problem, had virtually no lag (tho in a couple i had NAT issues half way thru the game) and its wor
if you play a single player tournament you will play against QoT (or with her) every match in a single player skirmish game you can pick and choose which DGs you face, as for online it is purely chance that QoT will play or not but as others have said just stay zoomed out and u cant see a thing anyway especially as she is in the flower
the role playing part of the game would be the leveling up and stat juggling with different items ect. which is what an RPG game on the pc is defined as... A role-playing game ( RPG ; often roleplaying game ) is a game in which the participants assume the roles of fictio
you should test a bit more carefully, it only starts the cast sequence but don't actually summon one. Its a bug more or less a UI bug.
sorry i couldnt see if he had fully summoned one because of the size of the army i already had, but this is no ui bug, he goes through the full cast cycle and the animation of a summon comes up on the floor next to him and then fails to complete. but when u have 23 mini's standing
ok after testing it a bit more, once you sell the totem you can still summon the mini's even if u dont own the totem. so i earnt around 7k from farming creeps on the cruicible in a 1v1 Vs hard AI. then went home and started with lvl 4 priests and worked down the ranks so had the 8 priests, then did the archers after and so on till i had the full 28 mini's as oak, i also had the purse, and while i was losing a tad of cash when buying the totems and reselling them it was less noticable
no because u can buy 1 idol at a time with a max cost of 3k ish and then buy sell buy sell, till u have a full army so u can do this with the purse very early in the game. i know this don't seem like a big deal to some of you, but at the end of the day its still an expliotable bug, at lvl 1 at the start of the game, having a full army of 2x priest 2x gunner and 2x minotaur is a big advantage for paying no money for it. and remember you are making money all the while u are doing this as w
right i just went to do further testing on this, and i found u can buy the monks, summon them sell the totem, then buy the archers. summon them and then sell the totem, then buy the minotaur, and then sell that, and if u have the magical coin purse favor item u get more money for selling them back then it cost to buy in the first place, so u can go get urself a full army, sell the totem and then buy a HP / DMG item before you even start the game, totally broken imho
yeah i understand where you are coming from, but i play a general most of the time and i sacrifice personal power at the start of the game to build a proper army, i have to say i prefer doing this as after you have a full army in the midgame, farming becomes rediculously easy, then you can go to town on personal buffs, ive been using this cheese while playing nightmare AI and i cant remember the last time i died unless ganked by 3+ DGs. i can normally find bugs like this and that is
i would like to see any demigod, no matter what stage of game, fight a full army of 24 buyable mini's and however many special mini's the only one what could stand a chance would be TB and only if he had enough mana or all his spells off CD, and as soon as frost nova ran out he is a dead spellslinger. with the rate of hits from 8 minotaurs and 8 archers, that rook's 7k health aint lasting long specially if the DG is casting stuns or DoTs on him as well. i just dont want to see this exploit go
lol yeah, but with enough +minion dmg and minion health items they can be a force to be reckoned with specially with 8 priests healing away + the special mini's (oak's spirits for eg) thats a big old furball running around the map and what chance does a tower have Vs 8 archer mini's?
if as a general you summon a level 1 army, then sell the totems and buy the level 2 equivilent you can proceed to summon the level 2 army while the level 1 one still exists, then u can sell the level 2 totems and buy the level 3 and so on, till you have 8 of each buyable minion class. this trick could be exploited late game especially, as the level 1 totems are worth a pittance, and you can sell your level 4 ones and then buy all other levels, without wasting too much money. this certianly ne
was playing a botmatch on the brother's map and my team had cleared all the way to the valor flag on the right hand side of the enemies base but the AI rook proceeded to try and tear the trebuchet and artillary tower down, but they seemed to be invincible so he stood there doing nothing much, then all of the minions that were coming from the 2 right hand portals stood there and tried to take the towers down too, with no effect. When i finally made my way up there after notic
after the little mini update to 0.92.025 the ai still acts in this strange way, i was playing a 5v5 map and the demigods didnt cluster round towers anymore, but around forts i was regularly running to the middle fort on zikurat(sp?) and seeing 2-3 ai demigods there and aoeing them down with TB, anyone know if any fix is in the works? thanks
running a few bot matches on 3B i have noticed both enemy and ally bots getting low on health and then just running back to a tower and standing there doing nothing, this was on normal AI setting. so i was walking round with rook just basicly sniping the nearly dead bots ended up with nearly 40 kills on a prison map in about 10 minutes, unsure if this happens on other AI settings will test it now
that is a great idea, i like the tought you have put into this post, im not sure the elite guards 2 alternatives would work too good tho, maybe have a large slowing aura on them or maybe a hamstring move. because enemy DGs will just run around them if they see them, or just pound them fast to get to the general.
gah double post on edit
yeah defaulting to normal ai is a bit of a bugger, maybe if instead of one long button there were 4 small buttons under an autofill heading with easy, normal, hard & nightmare buttons would be better or even radio buttons next to it to select for your team and the enemy team so u could have easy on urs and nightmare on enemy for example. there is enough space on that part of the game setup menu to have either imho.
yeah that would work too mrlarone, as i said before its no massive bug, just a tad annoying is all, anything that could rectify this would be cool
but that was the whole point of the post, if the auto fill slots option is there to save some time, why should you have to manually select the DGs. I know its a small point and may be seen as trivial but as a time saving function it don't work properly most of the time, so could use a little work. I'm sure it wouldn't be a major time sink to make it select a different DG in each slot over a random one, and maybe even make it take the size of the selected map into account
aye its all random, but for example i did 4 ai matches today, and every time i did auto fill slots, it gave me 2 or 3 of the same demigod on 1 team and then duplicates on the other, it is no really big issue, but its just a little jarring to press auto fill then have to change the gods because you have multiples if you want a spread out game, the auto fill option is there presumably to save a bit of time, yet having to go back and change all of the gods makes it take as long as just selecting
aye ive had this happen with other demigods, mostly erebrus and sedna actually, though it has happened to me with the rook too, i think there should be an option for aggressive / defensive / passive for the demigods so you can farm creeps with aggressive, but when fighting DGs you could turn it to passive and he/she would only attack whom you target, and then defensive would only attack anything that hit you. iin my opinion, that would sort out most of the problems, as i belive PC demigods ar
When playing a game with AI at the moment, if you press the auto fill slots button it ends up making a lot of identical demigods on the same team and more then likely the same demigods on the opposing team, my suggestion here would be to make the auto fill slots use one of each demigod and then fill out the remainder with a random one. also when traveling a long distance on some maps (e.g. the 5v5 maps), my demigod got stuck on the "walls" a lot and when playing a general a
