Like Phily0381 I also use a 22" widescreen monitor so it works out that I have enough space to give up a couple of inches on the right side of the screen for docks and other things I like to have in view all the time (rss, clock, weather, etc.). I like to be able to run all apps maximize so I don't have to mess with resizing windows all the time. To do this I made an empty dock set it to full transparent, no autohide, set it to reserve the screen edge and located it about 2 inches

thank you for your quick response, that is exactly what I was looking for. It may have taken you a bit to figure out, but at least you did, I've been beating my head against the proverbial brick wall all afternoon looking for it without success. thx much
on the product features page I find this statement: 'New "command entry" abilities: You can now create a dock item to toggle autohide on and off, or toggle hiding/showing the taskbar. Very useful.' would someone point me to instructions on how to use these command entries? I have searched the forums and scanned thru the tutorials but have been unable to find anything. I would like to have a docklet that will toggle the windows taskbar and not have to bring up the dock configur
