Hiya All, My only real nitpick about this game and the other Galciv games is the way the weaponry and defenses are handled, i mean it just makes it pretty predictable on what to do on your ship depending on which race you are fighting at the time, because their weapon and defenses of choice are the same, all the time, which makes it an easy win. Maybe later on they might sort this out, but on previous games, i never lost to the AI because of this,

What i didn't like about the Galciv games is how they did the weapons and defenses, they had different defences for each weapon type and thats just a bad thing, i like how Horizon and Master of Orion 2 did it, where all weapons needed to get passed the shields, then the armour, to hit the hull and thats only if the weapon didn't have shield piercing properties. I hope you make sure to have this game like that.

Normally i shine away from RTS games where different role ships are involved, since i have to remember what counters what, but from what this says, the AI does that for me, which makes it more easier for me to play against the AI, playing against other players will never happen for me, since from experience with other RTS games, all players want is to do is win the fastest, no matter the cost. So, for them, if you can't win in 5mins or so, you suck...learnt that from warcraft III

Well, what i would prefer when it comes to weapons and defenses is that the different weapons are there, but they ALL need to go through shields, the armour you have lowers the damage to the hp or something like that, i would honestly prefer that.

The Torians can research Colonizing Waterworlds ALOT faster, it costs them 200 research points to do, while the rest it takes 1000 research points. So, in the TA expansion, each race has their own techtree xml file, which you can either edit with notepad (if you know what you are doing) or use the game tech editor in the tools folder.

I tried editing the xml files, every races works fine with just beams and shields, but sadly, the Terrans for some unknown reason can't build the starting buildings. :/. I did the exact same thing for every single race, but only the terrans are affected by this issue. lol

I have tried to design my own ships, i might be just used to how Master of Orion 2 did it, but i find GalCiv2 ship designing....lacking, you need all 3 defenses to be protected? nah, i would prefer just armour and shields just like any sci-fi movie and show i have seen. If only i was a good modder, i would mod out the point defenses and make the shields and armour defend against all 3 types of weaponry.

I would like to see a GalCiv3, but i want the following features in it for me to buy it with no second thoughts: 1: Good, Neutral and Evil ethics need to be balanced since neutral is better then good or evil, since you get better research facilities, more bonuses to invading all non-neutral races. (and be honest, how many neutral races are there in this game?) 2: Designing Ships should be far more easier, i might be just used to Master of Orion 2's way of doing it, when you ge

I agree with Tzukasa7, the story campaign have certain limits on it that keep it within the story so it doesn't overwealm you. lol But the sandbox one can overwealm you if you do not work faster.
