Ah, I missed the games today. Does anyone have vids of them posted? And who won?

Congrats Blues on your win today.
Good games all around. PBhead won two matches before anyone else won one, so congrats to him for proceeding to the finals! Good luck to everyone else on the upcoming games.
Hey everyone, I'm ready and excited for the games tonight! Is someone that streams going to create the lobby as an observer? Also, my Steam name is 7-, so don't be too surprised when I join with that name.
I have a friend that is interested in joining, they just need to make a forum account first, so I'm posting this to try and reserve for them. His forum name should be Phylast, and he can only make the Monday evening time (silly day jobs). ~edit~ nevermind, he (drklight, I had the name wrong) posted right after me!
@Soren_Johnson I couldn't make any of the times before, but I can totally make 9pm EDT. So please count me in to join for that timeslot. This is gonna be fun! ~edit~ to be specific, I can only play on the Monday time slot. Mid western day job prevents me from joining any games before ~7pm EST.
Oh, I have some comments on the new UI. Just aesthetically, my friends and I are more fans of the old UI, but there are some ways in which the new one is lacking in function as well. There is no way to share individual resources (with a team) during a match. And if you enable the option (before game of course, because you can't change options mid match) to share all resources, there is a weird "font" label that takes up most of the inventory number column. There's no w
This sounds like fun. I'm pretty bad, but I'd still sign up if I could. Unfortunately, unless a future tournament has time slots after 7pm EST, I won't be able to join. :-(
I want to chime in for a Linux version as well. I have a few friends that are interested in the game but can't play as there isn't a Linux version.
Ah. Well then. Nevermind. I hadn't considered that bonus. Thanks. :-)
Are you sure about the robotic bonus increasing input consumption? I wanted to check, so I just started a game to find out, and it seems as though the robotic bonus just counts the same as adjacency. No increase in water consumption, but a 50% increase on output.
I also like this. Maybe base the amount you can take out on your current credit rating, and drop the rating until the debt goes above a certain rate. You could take multiple loans, but each one would be worth less (worse credit rating) and your credit would go down for each one until your debt is paid up, or at least some specified amount of it.
It also works on humans in multiplayer. If you can save up the cash quickly enough, it's actually cheaper to do it all at once this way I believe. Because buying someone 10% at a time causes the later stocks to be higher price, and I don't think a straight buyout accounts for that.
The transport ships use fuel while in the air. Expansionist uses less fuel because the ships are faster (thus in the air less time). Robotics doesn't use fuel, but their ships use power. So distance does matter, in that it takes longer, and ships only cost while they are in the air.
Again, I think you misunderstand my point. As I said before, it's when I buyout a different player that I don't know where my new allocations are. ~edit~ I appreciate your advice, but it really feels like you are talking down to me and not actually reading what I'm saying. I understand adjacency bonuses and how to remember where I place buildings.
Oh yeah, I have no problem with that. I know that I should stop my steel mills. I just have no clue where they are. Determining the resources that I should stop wasting energy / space on is the easy part, it's actually finding the buildings that's not easy.
I have another question about the UI. Is it possible to view the resource abundance (like what shows up when picking your HQ location) after placing your HQ? It would also be nice if you could turn on a resource filter somehow. If aluminum (or any resource really) is scarce on the map and I have a good claim on it, it's in my advantage to nuke the resources of my opponents, but actually locating the different resources as the game becomes more and more cluttered can be very diffic
Okay, that helps a lot with our understanding. My buddies and I tried out the base tabbing and looking for buildings that way, and while it's better, we all agree there still needs to be some update to make it easier to find your money burning buildings.
I'm not sure what you mean by "triggered by an attack". Does that mean that after the first goon squad is hit, all players' goons are revealed from then on?
Hi, I've been watching this game since the Yogscast and Day[9] did videos of it, and just bought in at the beginning of the sale with a bunch of friends. I don't claim to be good, and neither do my friends, but after two nights of non-stop games, there were two questions / comments / suggestions I wanted to post about. The first, are you supposed to be able to see where other people put goon squads? My friends said they stopped targeting certain buildings because they could se
