Hello all. So...I recently downloaded a Star Trek mod for the game, but when I go to the options menu in the start-up of the game, select mods, only "default" and "example" show up. SO I heard there is a screen fix for this, which I downloaded and ran. I still cannot load the UFP mod! I am using Vista; any idears out there? I'm dying to play this mod as I have heard great things about it!

Hmmm...well, I had to do this in a roundabout manner. I tried to do as you said--do the "save as" option--and the same problem occurred. This time, I saved the file as a txt file to my documents folder, opened it again from there, and then saved it in the data folder for my mod. BUT: when I opened Galciv2 and tried to apply the mod, that folder for my mod did not show up. Any idears? BTW: thanks for responding!

Hello all, So I went to do some modding today---for the first time--and I followed the instructions given in the modding tutorial that CariElf has provided. I did so, and it tells me the same thing. I don't think notepad is going to let me save this file. Any advice out there?&nbs

Hey there all, I am an avid GalCiv player, and I have come across sins--which looks very cool. But before I commit, I have one thing holding me back. I am a _firm_ believer in turn-based strategy, and so when I read that sins is a RTS, I balked. HOWEVER, some RTS can essentially become turn-based for all intensive purposes--I am thinking the old Star Wars: Rebellion and the Europa Universalis games. Does sins have a similar game play mechanism, whereby you can
